    We ordered the Tomato and Whipped Burrata salad as a starter. The taste was good, but the amount of dry bread pieces inside the bowl were a turn off. Rather than have the bread on the site with a small plate of balsamic vinegar and olive oil for dipping, it ruined this appetizer. We decided not to say anything but the waitress asked how it was and we told het to tell the kitchen about our suggestion. The manager showed up and insisted we received a free dessert at the end. No need we said, but okay in the end we said, fine! Then the entrees came. We ordered a chicken parmesan. That was a nice dish, came with a healthy helping of pomedore sauce. Very nice. But my wife ordered the Truffle Forest Mushroom and that dish was a disappointment. She counted 7 small pieces of mushroom and because the lumache pasta wasn't drained well enough. A lot of water diluted the cream sauce and it became a tasteless, watery mess. For 31 dollars this was a total waste of a dinner entree. We left it at that, I gave my wife half of my chicken and pasta so that was, that. No desire to complain yet again. The free dessert came and was good. For 2 dollars more, the chicken parmesan would have been a superior choice. My wife had the truffle mushroom pasta before, but then the sauce was very nice and stuck to the pasta. This time, the watery liquid ruined it completely. We'll come back, but no more burrata salad, no more Truffle Forest Mushroom pasta.

    The food was cold. The server took too long. I have been to The Italian Osteria before and had really liked their food previously but this visit was such a miss. Drinks were nice though.

    Had a wondderful experience for our anniversary. Enjoyed the happy hour menu and the service from Gage was wonderful. Only negative was the noise level was VERY loud. But having said that we could still hear each other talk.

    We have eaten here so many times and had such positive experiences. Generally the food is excellent and the staff attentive. Not sure what happened last night though. In their defence it was VERY busy but after a lengthy wait our appetizers arrived at the same time as our main course. Also took a long time for the bILL to arrive and because of that even though they had charged us for a soft drink refills I did not say anything. Overall we will go back but probably pick less busy times.

    This was my 4th and by far the worst food experience we've had. The salads were soggy and the entrees were cold. Service was slow and indifferent. Will not return or recommend.

    While I enjoyed the atmosphere and the taste of the food, it was extremely overpriced ($223 for 2 pastas, 3 drinks, and cannolis). Service was super slow. 20 minutes before I was offered a drink and often took 30+ minutes for drinks or a box to be brought.

    The menu drew us in however the food was lackluster. The calimari had six very small and over fried pieces of squid and the rest was vegetable filler. The charcuterie board was mainly bread with two pieces of mozzarella, a lump of blueberry flavoured soft cheese and a tiny piece of a hard cheese and salamis. Nothing extraordinary. The tomato buratta salad was tasty however was mostly bread. Like s+l, I would not go back.

    I love this place! If I were to give any feedback after going here for years, as an Italian, please remember some Italians will eat there and we know our food. A little more bread for the cheese plates would be good to accommodate the platter. And definitely get rid of the giant croutons in that nice salad, I had most of my Bites filled with vinegar-soaked bread. Too many and put the dressing on the side with a little focaccia, I’m not sure who thought this was nice to eat. Otherwise lovely place. Always!
