Always a treat! Amazing decor, atmosphere, presentation effects - all very special. Food - less so. Still nice, but a bit tired, it seems to have lost its wow wow...

Visited the restaurant last night, 22nd of February for a meal quite late in the evening. We were sat at the bar for our dinner, everything was perfect, food, service etc. However, sat next to us half way through our meal was, as we were told, an Ivy manager of another branch (a description of him would include glasses, bald with a beard and from our assumption he sounded Italian). Shouting, swearing using vulgar and explicit language very loudly one seat away from me, completely ruined the atmosphere and overall experience for us. Several phone calls kept being made by him with the same language being used the entire time, he seemed super aggressive, it was very off-putting and incredibly unprofessional. Did not expect this behaviour to be tolerated in such a nice establishment, super hypocritical as I’m sure he wouldn’t put up with someone acting like that in his restaurant. Disappointed it was tolerated by the management in the Chelsea branch.

Really nice venue with good food and a cool vibe. We had a pleasant welcoming at the door, which gave a good impression of the service, however it faltered a bit after that. The waitress misunderstood us several times and remedies were ok. Other than that the food arrived quickly and was delicious, fairly but targeting overly priced. Drinks are good but not too special, not really justifying their prices. All in all a good experience, topped off by navigating our way to the nice bathrooms through a crowd of customers photoshooting on the stairs.

Poor service. Rest was very good. Food and ambience softened the disappointment.

I must say that I’m very disappointed! In fact me and my friend were so unhappy, that we have refused to pay the service charge for the first time ever. And we dine often in different restaurants in London and also in different countries. The service was so bad, that I think I could get a better one in literally everywhere else. Probably even in McDonald’s or a kebab place. What is the point of asking people if they are coming to celebrate a special occasion, if they don’t plan to do anything to make you feel special in any way. Some customers were treated better, some worse. We have ordered many things, one of them was the wagyu beef steak, which is quite pricey, we have also ordered drinks and the desserts later. It was chaos. They were making mess on the table , not asking any questions and putting everything on the table wherever they wanted, which made me and my friend have to move everything around and reorganise the whole setup. No one ever came to ask any questions. Food was ok, tasty, but just lukewarm and very greasy. No nice customer service, no care whatsoever, no special treatment, no nice presentation, no good service at all. Just nicely decorated place, but very crowded and loud. Atmosphere wasn’t very pleasant. After the meal we had to wait for a long time , until someone cleared the table. We have ordered the desserts, but after the waiter cleaned the table, he just left two spoons on the naked surface of the table, not even straight, no napkins, no serviettes, nothing and later brought the plates with the desserts. I’m not sure what I should have used to clean my hands or face after. No one has come to us once, to ask if we needed anything or if everything was good, no one was explaining or recommending anything from the menu, no one was even smiling. Everyone was running around like crazy. If they can’t handle to serve all the people they accept to have in the restaurant, maybe they shouldn’t allow so many people to come or hire more staff.

We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday. The service levels were poor - we had to ask for a fork 3 times before we finally received one ( it took over 15 mins in total). The food arrived in waves which was good - sushi, small plates and finally the large plates. Unfortunately, all the small plates and the large plates were served lukewarm. The Lamb Massaman curry was especially disappointing as the lamb was served as tiny cubes. An underwhelming visit especially as four of the party were experiencing their first time at The Ivy Asia.

Not a great experience at all. Foodood was poor quality, restaurant was way too loud and the service was non-existent. Way better restaurants in the area!
