   The Ivy restaurants are usually great value and good food. However, The Ivy Asia is an exception -- with bland to flavourless food, rushed from course to course surrounded by Instagram photo opps, it feels like a concert vs. a nice dining experience. We spent €200 for two people and I could have stayed at my hotel and spent less for a much better experience. While the staff is following direction, I have never been to a restaurant that brings out multiple courses, while you're still eating a course and allows the plates to pile up due to rushing you to a point that equals eating at a fast food restaurant. Our dinner was finished in less than one hour -- I will never go back to this Ivy location. When I left, all I could think was: we had so many other dining choices in London.

   We spent Christmas Eve afternoon here and not over busy, the noise level was not a problem. The food was very good and the service excellent. Indeed we have never had poor food in the Ivy Asia restaurants and would certainly recommend them.

   Unimpressed at the overall experience tonight. The food was bland, had chilli noodles which was just spaghetti that had been dipped in chilli sauce; the lamb was bland and had some kind of sauce chucked into the bowl. When my drink came the server spilt it on the table and simply brought paper napkins over I cleaned myself. The waiter who took over from our first waitress didn’t have a clue what he was doing; he made an error with the bill which resulted in the restaurant manager having to come over and resolve our payment. Such a waste of money and time £174 wasted, we’re really disappointed.

   Unfortunately our experience got off to a poor start as we had to wait for 15 minutes, despite arriving on time for our reservation. The bar area was very busy so we could not easily get to the bar to at least have a drink whilst we waited. The lack of space meant we just felt like we were in the way. We decided to do the premium experience menu. The food was nice and there was certainly plenty of it. However, the service lacked as the staff were hit and miss with their delivery of the dishes and the explanations, which you’d expect when ordering this kind of meal. In this style of meal we understand that dishes come at different times, but lots came at the start in quick succession and then slowed down, so it was a little difficult to predict. Due to the late running of our table we had to rush to get to our theatre booking, meaning the end of the meal was more stressful than it should’ve been as we ate quickly, paid early and left fast. Overall, a nice meal but overpriced when all is considered and we won’t be returning quickly. Also, watch out as they automatically apply a 13.5% service charge to all tables. We had this removed in light of the above.

   Bar service very slow, were were given main course before having to ask twice for our drinks when we first arrived. We also arrived early my husband used the bathroom we waited at bar to enjoy drinks and multiply people were served ahead of us arriving well after us. Very frustrating as embarrassing to ask

   Diasappointed with the Service - not our server but the fact that we waited 15 minutes for first drinks - which when they came were wrong. Again ordering second round waited another 15 minutes. We’re served Still Water not Table Water, told waiter but the Still Water was charged on the bill, had to ask for it to be taken off. Were incorrectly charged for drinks which had to be taken off. Food was good, but really small portions on the Large Plates, felt cheated. Almost certainly won’t recommend to friends. It was our second visit to Ivy Asia Mayfair, we went this time last year and it was good. A disappointing Christmas Treat whilst in London.
