    I went for the afternoon tea with my sister for Mother's day, as I received this as a gift for my birthday. I have been for lots of afternoon teas in my time from top of the range to mid range. The design of the restaurant is very nice with large blossom trees and ceiling paintings of huge red dragons. Staff are very friendly and professional. All of this leaves you with a feeling of high end dining and an opulent ambience. Unfortunately, then the food was served. From the initial offering this looked lovely, with some liquid nitrogen created smoke billowing from under one of the desserts. Then the eating. Salmon and avocado sushi rolls - really basic and not made to the greatest standard. Then there was a gyoza, a dumpling, a spring roll and a bun. The bun was stone cold, the rest - barely luke warm and the flavour/quality was nothing special - have tasted better from the frozen aisle at my local south east Asian supermarket (obviously once cooked - not eaten frozen). All of these were accompanied by two dipping sauces (hoisin) and I don't know what the other one was but I've tasted much better accompaniments to dumplings and sushi. At least these touches would have elevated the mediocrity and sub standard savoury offerings. The sweet elements were slightly better but again, nothing worth going back for. Luckily I had lovely company.

    Absolutely amazing experience, first time myself but family been before and loved it! Staff was amazing, food was amazing, do wish the portions were a tad bigger but then the food was absolutely fantastic so was the staff.

    Fabulous service, great food and good value for the portion sizes, location of restaurant and overall experience. We had the experience tasting menu which was plentiful, varied and a good way to try a variety of dishes. Ivy Asia St Paul’s is definitely somewhere we would visit again and intend to!
