The newly opened Ivy Royal Windsor is the latest gem in our modern-day brasserie crown. Located close to Windsor Castle, it is the perfect place for locals and the visitors who flock here to see the changing of the guard ceremony, to enjoy delectable dishes and celebratory drinks.

In light of Windsor's rich royal heritage, beautifully designed interiors are brimming with elegant touches. My husband and I dined at The Ivy at Windsor. We were not offered a carafe of water like the other tables. Instead, we were charged $5 for a bottle of still water. I feel they did this because they could see we were American. My husband’s shepherd’s pie was delicious, albeit a bit small. My burger appeared to come from a pre-made frozen patty and lacked adequate seasoning. The chips that came with the burger were crispy and well salted. Our food arrived quickly but we were left to sit quite a long time for the check after we made it clear with our server that we would not be having tea or dessert.

We had a great dinner there, I ordered a scallop, a curry duck and a chocolate sfere and everything was really delicious. The service was attentive.

Our starters came out before our drinks, two members of staff came to apologises tho. The food wasn’t amazing either unfortunately, but enjoyed the view of the castle

This was a late lunch (2pm booking) experience after an event for a table of 5. Service was a little slow but it was quite busy so to be expected. The food was good. Starters included the scallops which were excellent. Mains were good. Service was okay but there seemed to be something lacking as The Ivy portrays a special experience but it was just ok.

The greeting at the door was great. Setting very nice. Food/price was ok. Our server was called John (Scottish) he was a real credit to the Ivy. Very enthusiastic and professional and his service made our night . We had a lovely evening and would recommend the Ivy, Windsor.
