The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

Enjoy our signature Shepherd’s Pie or savour the rich flavours of our Scottish Smoked Haddock & Salmon Fishcake. Whether it’s an afternoon gathering or the perfect start to your evening at the theatre, we promise a memorable dining experience. Price for two courses is £28.95 and three courses £34.95 per person. T's and C's: Available Monday- Friday between 11:30pm and 6 pm and again from 9:30 pm until close . Not available on Bank Holidays. Menus and Prices are subject to change.     Everything about the food at the Ivy was underwhelming and pedestrian but at very high prices and with a 13 1/2 % service charge on the bill. Living off its long gone reputation it just isn’t good enough to justify the hype or the price. Avoid !

    Exceptional experience overall. Very friendly and efficient service, great menu choices with very tasty starters, mains and sticky toffee pudding for desert. Cocktails beforehand were excellent particularly the signature martini made by the bar tender table side. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will go back when back in town.

    Our waitress was very miserable. Not attentive. We were only asked if we would like water when we sat down, no chance for an aperitif as menus were given then food orders taken. No advice or help with ordering sides, whether they were needed. Fried egg on chicken escalope was hard. Steak was tight. Wine was ok. Bread and butter ok. Very disappointing experience.
