   Must have been an off night. Been several times and this was the worst experience. Two of the meals had to be sent back because they were cold. When the chicken came back you could tell it had been microwaved as it had been overcooked as had the crab cakes because the one our party had taken a bite out of was returned. Had to ask 3 times for salads 2 in our party had ordered. Finally came an hour and 15 minutes later WITH meal. I asked for a manager and none came. Had one of the worst margaritas ever. They took one meal off bill and one of the margaritas after reminding them. On the bright side the cajun pasta was excellent as was the prime rib. Might think twice about going back anytime soon.

   My husband enjoyed The Willshire steak. Said it was best steak he has had!

   We chose James Watson House to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Upon choosing drinks, the two of us who drove had our driver’s license, and the birthday celebrant did not. She did, however, have a photo of her ID in her phone that was undeniably her. They left and came back and said they couldn’t accept the ID if it wasn’t the physical card. That required me to make a 35 to 40 minute round-trip to go get her card, which naturally I was going to do given that we were there to celebrate her birthday. I returned to cold appetizers, as the rest of the party waited on me and they seemed rushed to serve, and a watery drink, and pressure to order dinner because they close the kitchen an hour before they close the restaurant. Honestly the rushed demeanor began at our arrival with multiple requests for drink and appetizer orders as we were settling in. We dine here regularly. It was disappointing to say the least to have our celebration interrupted, stressed, and rushed, when they have served all of us often, including the weekend before this special night when we sat at the bar to eat and drink. They did offer her a dessert for her birthday, and another one was ordered, but they served them in styrofoam to-go boxes. It was not yet 10 PM, so we asked for forks. The evening’s interactions were thoughtless, unnecessary, and underwhelming. As regulars at this establishment, we will definitely be spreading out where we spend our entertainment/dining dollars from now on.

   Our server was wonderful! Great personality and very accommodating! This was one of the best experiences we have had. Food was delicious!

   The menu selection overall was expansive, the food had good flavor, the portions were appropriate. Server was very attentive and did an outstanding job. Appetizers and Main Course arrived quickly. Our only negative was that, everything considered, was a bit pricey for a party of three.

   The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the crab cakes were delicious with an hint of sweetness from the aioli. All the food was excellent, although it was noisy with our table being in the open. There were large food crumbs on all the seats around me, The tables were cleaned, but I expected it to be cleaner as we arrived well before the dinner rush (4:45).

   Not exactly what we were anticipating. The inside is very cute but not a restaurant you would need to get all dressed up for. Food is pricey for what get. It’s not that we would never go back but if we had an option to go elsewhere I feel we would.

    The food tasted amazing, when it finally arrived, and the atmosphere was very nice and enjoyable. The kitchen service was VERY slow - it took a very long time to get food to our table. We arrived at 5:00 and didn’t leave until 7:00 (2 hours)…we spent most of the time sitting and waiting on food. If the kitchen was more efficient, it would have been a perfect rating!!
