   Amazing roast dinner! Belly pork with crispy crackling, the meat melted in the mouth! Best gravy ever had I could swim in it and delicious cauliflower cheese, very cheesey! Crispy roasts and massive Yorkshire puds! One minor disappointment, the roast beef! Lovely meat but very thinly sliced no where near as much meat as the pork which was a hefty chunk! So could have more of the beef or thicker slices! The starters were lovely, light and fresh, the homemade piccalilli with the mackerel was gorgeous! Would have been nice to have a small slice of sourdough to mop it up! Superb wine selection and good Guinness! Sticky toffee sauce rivals the original Cartmel sauce! Overall wonderful meal and totally recommend! I will be back to try their a la carte menu! Definitely one of best roasts I have had! 😍👏🏻

   The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Never needed to get anyone's attention, there was always someone around. We both had a roast dinner, 1 chicken & the other pork belly. Absolutely outstanding, couldn't fault it 10/10. Will definitely return again when I crave a roast.

   Definitely worth a visit. Great food with lots of attention to detail. Friendly service. Went midweek so it was quieter. Would highly recommend.

    10/10 Sunday roast. I got chicken supreme, he got beef, we shared a side of cauli cheese and pigs in blankets (the dog enjoyed a piggy). Food came out quickly too.
