   Had lunch with friends, young girl served and looked after us, the food was wonderful and this lovely young girl was a real credit to the Kings Head, thoroughly enjoyed our lunch well done.

   Wow, this pub really understands how to cook food. So many amazing flavours with each mouthful. The service was quick, professional from all staff. We have eaten there three times now within a few months. We will be back, this is number 1 for us, and we have been many places. Highly recommended!

   The food was delicious. The service was somewhat chaotic. Staff tried to take our order too quickly and then didn’t return for ages. It took ages to finalise dessert orders then at the end of the meal before handing the bill we were told we need your table back. It was frankly rude and we left with a sour note as the food was really good.

   Mother’s Day 2025. Booking for my husband and I. We rarely get to enjoy a meal out as we have a disabled child. The main sticking points were that no water was offered, we weren’t asked if we wanted any further drinks. Once the food arrived they never checked if the meal was ok. Overall it was really disappointing as we love The Boars. I know it was very busy because of Mother’s Day, but we saw other people with water at their table etc. However, I will say the food was really nice.

   We had a two night stay in the area so we came for dinner it was very nice as it was a Friday it was a lively atmosphere and people having a nice time. Food was good. We would return. Sam and Paul Carrigg from Kent

   Pleasantly attentive speedy service by competent staff. Good choice of quality food, well cooked and served in the ambience of a clean old English village pub.

    Busy, so atmosphere was good, service was good. The food was a bit disappointing, definitely not at good as previously. The Skate wing flavours really didn't work together and the way it was presented really didn't help with having to remove all of the bones. The double fried chips with the burger meals were soft and not crisp. Desserts were good.
