I was hoping for better food. No one at the table seemed very impressed by it. I had the juegos rancheros and it was nicely presented but a small amount. The mimosas were good and the service was very good. Unfortunately the food could be improved.

Our Sunday dinner was excellent! Had not been to the Kitchen for a while. Wow, what a mistake that has been. We will now go regularly. It is that good from the service to the sourced food-loved every minute. Thank you

The food is outstanding. The people in the kitchen create delicious, beautiful food locally sourced. I’ve been eating at the Kitchen since it opened and their tapas portions make it easy to enjoy their many offerings, all of which are great. So now for the not so great…Service. Beyond subpar. Our server didn’t make sure that dirty dishes were cleared, told us that they were out of a bottle of wine we ordered, the. The next bottle same thing. She wasn’t knowledgeable about the wines and at the end of the meal complimentary desserts were not offered for the two people celebrating our birthday. Finally, my husband said something and they brought our desserts out but it took forever. Sadly, the service use to be stellar with a manager walking the floor and checking for dirty dishes etc but the minimum isn’t done. It’s disappointing because I love the food.

Kitchen has been around a long time and has been good in the past. My recent visit was disappointing. One of the appetizers (french fries) came out cold. Waiter ignored us for a long time after the first course then apologized (sorry, we got busy). One entree came out 5-10 minutes before the others. I ordered the chicken and it was way too salty. Overall a poor experience for a restaurant of this price level. Goes to the bottom of the rotation for us.

Great venue and atmosphere. Wait staff was very good. Food was delicious. Only critic is that the food came out too quickly (yes I know, not usually something to nitpick about). We wanted to enjoy a nice leisurely dinner, savoring each dish but felt rushed when each dish came out before we were finished with the one on our table. I would definitely go back.

This was my first time at The Kitchen in Boulder and it was just bad. I do not usually write reviews however I had to express my displeasure with this place. I ordered the Cubano, which was extremely dry, did not include ham, had no flavor and the fries were soggy. Two of us had empty glasses for over 20 minutes before our 2nd beer was delivered. Oh and the beer, $8.50 for a 10oz - 12oz glass, not even a pint :-( ..... Will not go back and will direct friends/family away from this establishment.
