   We had a choice of a set menu or £30 towards the standard menu as we were on a spa offer. The set menu was 3 courses and it was lovely. There was a great choice and I opted for vegetarian and it was all delicious. The view over the lake was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful.

   The restaurant was not open and turned us away. The staff were rude and we were completed unimpressed.

   We arrived at the hotel after a long journey. Booked in for dinner but waited over an hour for our meal. Despite us asking waiting staff and being reassured. Other people were served their meals before us who had arrived later than us. I had booked an afternoon tea for the Sunday but it was for a special occasion. I cancelled it after our poor experience on the Friday evening.

   Very unimaginative food……inattentive staff…..no grasp of the concept that there might be zero alcohol drinks on the market!!

   Booked the restaurant for a valentines night meal with my fiancée. The restaurant itself is a very boring space, the staff were all miserable you really felt that they didn't want to be there trying to get a smile was difficult. The food was edible but nothing to rave about, bit of a let down to be honest we won't return.

   Relatively limited menu for long stays but excellent service ( generally). Food is good although I had a steak which was rather chewy.

   We booked for a birthday lunch. There was one lady on the bar . The room was busy and she tried to cope but it was not possible . We had some drinks and a bottle of champagne . When we sat down for lunch we were sat at a coffee table . It was poor on so many levels . The place was a joke . We decided to leave and go somewhere else . It ruined what was meant to be a special occasion . We would never go back

   We both chose the set menu. 3 courses with good options was excellent value for money. The prawn cocktail was particularly good. The highlight was the sticky toffee dessert which I can honestly say is the best I have ever had. Choices for the main course were not overly exciting but beautifully presented. I opted for the haddock served in a cheese sauce which I enjoyed. The service was excellent, friendly but non intrusive. The dining room was full yet we were served promptly and made to feel welcome. The dining room itself is a special treat overlooking the lake.
