Lovely historic dining venue, breathtaking art and well worth arriving early to stroll and view. There seemed to be a confusion with our reservation for “afternoon tea” as on our arrival the staff claimed they couldn’t locate it and that the restaurant wasn’t “on OpenTable”, despite my having an OpenTable confirmation in hand! Even so, they made a place for us (our 2pm reservation was clearly before they typically started as the restaurant was empty) and we had a lovely afternoon tea. Restaurant servers were pleasant. Food was delicious.

Great experience and the staff are fantastic. Food was delicious and the setting is fitting for such an elegant event. My only bit of feedback would be: it would've been nice have 2 pots of tea each, (one more cup of tea, please.) Special shoutout to the Maître d' you started our birthday celebration in style! Highly recommend!

We went to the theatre to see The Tempest on a Friday and it was very busy! There was an IT issue with our booking and we weren’t on the system. Despite that (and so glad we had a confirmation email) the woman who was managing the seating made every effort to find us a table despite the place being fully booked. We had a table within five mins as someone left and she got us sat immediately and then took our order personally and it was delivered to the table shortly afterwards. Excellently handled and a lovely place for pre show drinks.

Difficult to even access our reservation due to the long queue at the bar, all tables full and would have meant kicking someone off a table so we didn’t bother. Drinks in plastic cups, no food, no waiters, just busy bar staff. Better organisation needed because what is the point of reserving a table? We have more events coming up at this theatre and we will make other arrangements for pre-dinner drinks.

We booked a table before a performance and arrived to a lovely quiet bar which soon became lively and busy. Such a lovely bar with great service, we will definitely book again if we return.

After having to speak to three different people before I was allowed in, one of whom suggested that I had got the wrong day for my booking 🤷‍♀️, I was then ignored for almost 15mins until someone actually took my order. Limited ‘snacks’ on menu, and didn’t have the almonds which were listed. Overall a very disappointing experience at a previously good venue. They have also destroyed the lovely Garden next door by converting it in to a Jamie Oliver ‘restaurant’ 🤦🏼‍♀️

We started with cocktails on the balcony as it was such a beautiful afternoon, it was lovely looking over Covent garden. Then we moved to the Cecil Beaton bar, to watch the guests arriving before our show. All together a wonderful afternoon/night.

Excellent service and atmosphere. The 3 flights of expresso martinis were the best.

Fabulous experience. Booked drinks for the Terrace but it was raining & so was closed. However was directed to the Cecil Beaton bar instead. Had cocktails & was serenaded by a member of staff as it was my Birthday. I also received a gorgeous mini dessert too. It was a lovely surprise, it really made me feel very special.
