   Neighbourhood restaurant tucked away in a backstreet with seriously competent cooking, in a calm friendly atmosphere. Limited menu ensures good quality and value.

   I'm really sorry to say that we were disappointed. This has been our favourite 'special occasion' restaurant for years and we've always been delighted with the food, the service, the presentation, the 'theatre' of the whole experience, but not this time. There's been a change to a new style of menu and they no longer do the wine matching...both of these points could have been fine, but somehow the pizzazz was missing. We were told that all the dishes were all ones that had been served before and some dishes tasted amazing, but that's not enough for the price point. I hope it will return to it's former glory, but sadly we've decided we need to find a new special occasion restaurant. :(

   Food excellent Alice looked after us so very well and was lovely company Drinks very expensive and port disappointing due to excessive lees even in the replacement glass Only 4 diners in so no real atmosphere

   Another outstanding dining experience! Excellent in all aspects with the exception of noisy fellow diners though that wasn't the fault of the restaurant!

   Have wanted to eat here for ages but never managed to get a table. The wait was worth it. Excellent on all fronts. A great experience and highly recommended.

   Outstanding food, outstanding service. The waiters really engaged with clients. Ambience was great. Location really good too. The decor was minimalist, so if you like that sort of thing it was fine. Need to be aware of a pretty hefty bill at the end. I would suggest not treating yourself to any extras like brandy or cheese courses! Overall: outstanding
