The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard. Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & the Tyne is open 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The pub offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.
We are dog and children friendly pub. Our cosy lounge area is dedicated for the guests with the dogs and little ones - please let us know prior your booking so we can accomodate you accordingly.

    I booked to meet a business colleague for a 1230 lunch We were not hungry and ordered a small bowl of their soup of the day; parsnip. We had nothing else other than 2 bottles Sparkling water and 2 coffees with milk. The bill £46 plus 12.5% service charge I paid the extra service charge as the waitress with her sprained wrist was wonderful and provided lovely service My dissatisfaction was the bill and total charge for soup water and a coffee. Totally ridiculous

    Another fantastic experience at the Loch & the Tyne, food is always exceptional and was matched by the service. Such lovely, helpful people to help you enjoy the visit. We do love this place and are always thinking of reasons to return.

    Food was exceptional, we all have enjoyed every bit of it. I’m a fussy eater and usually leave restaurants without any impression, but not this time. Meat was juicy and tender, all flavours blended together, child’s portions were big! My teen left feeling stuffed. Beef wellington was on the smaller side but executed exceptionally well. Highly recommend chicken, squash chilli it was cooked to perfection. Overall extremely impressed from the starters to the desserts all boxes were ticked, compliments to the chef!

    Wonderful place to eat. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and the Sticky Date pudding was incredible.

    Booked with the intention of having the Lunch Menu. But on arrival we were told that it wasn't on and the "Christmas" a la carte menu was the only option. Also had to ask for the Musac to be turned down as it was rather intrusive. The acoustics of the dining room make it echoey and we declined a tablefor two beside a noisy couple. There weren't that many menu items that my wife and I were keen on, frankly, so we passed on starters which were premium priced. Luckily our respective choices of main courses were EXCELLENT. She had the Fish and Chips. The fish was fresh and an ENORMOUS portion with a delicate batter. The chips were crisp and well seasoned. My Venison and Beetroot was EXCELLENT and with the additional side of Crispy Chilli Sprouts it was a delightful (and I can pretend) healthy meal. To make upo for it, we shared the L&T Trifle served in a champagne goblet. Very indulgent.
