This was our first time eating at The Lodge. I was a little hesitant because it's in a golf course community - but it didn't feel that way at all. It was the best dining experience I've had in a long, long time. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful - warm, cozy, romantic and perfectly done. The service was top notch - timing was spot on and the server was knowledgeable and charming. The food was fantastic. They were on the last days of their Winter menu. We had the Whipped Ricotta to start. I had the Pork Chop and my wife had the Crab. Not a bad bite on the table. Amazing flavors that all paired perfectly. We're looking forward to going back and trying their Spring menu.

We’ve had wonderful experiences at The Lodge in the past, but this visit left us with mixed feelings. Let’s start with the positives—the food was excellent. We began with the Elk Carpaccio, a well-balanced dish with fruit, tomatoes, and arugula that was both fresh and flavorful. The Short Ribs were incredibly tender, savory, and truly melted in my mouth, while my wife’s Risotto was rich, comforting, and beautifully seasoned. Unfortunately, the service and attention to detail fell short, which impacted the overall experience. While our server greeted us warmly, she struggled to explain the specials confidently. Once we finished our appetizer, the plates were not cleared, leaving little space for our entrées. Silverware was not provided with our main course, requiring us to request it. Additionally, the wine we ordered well in advance did not arrive until after we had started our meal, further adding to the disjointed service. As we settled the check, the manager stopped by to ask for feedback, but by that point, the lack of leadership throughout the evening made the request feel perfunctory rather than genuine. The Lodge has great potential to be Windsor’s top dining destination, but to achieve that, it must deliver a seamless, well-executed experience that matches the quality of its food. We hope these shortcomings are addressed, as we truly believe in the restaurant’s potential.

Hello Rolando, Thank you so much for this constructive feedback. While also starting with the positives, I am thrilled to hear the food meets expectations. Regarding the service that took place, we want to formally apologize as we strive for nothing less than perfect. Your notes have been diligently taken and brought to the server’s attention. As the manager on duty that evening, I am thoroughly disappointed in not having the opportunity to have a genuine conversation earlier in the evening as I truly care about the feedback and would have loved to correct these errors in the moment. Thank you for seeing the potential in what we are working towards cultivating each day here at The Lodge. We appreciate this very much, Taylor Brooks Assistant General Manager
