A very tasty Sunday lunch. I opted for the sirloin which was perfectly cooked and very tender. Would recommend this place.

We came specifically for breakfast and we were not disappointed. Delicious coffee and excellent food. The chorizo hash was tasty and just the right amount of spice. The staff were fun, funny, attentive and knowledgeable.

Our viait was early Tuesday evening. Although the venue was quiet, the ambience was cosy and welcoming. The landlord was friendly and also welcoming, showing us directly to the table prepared in advance. The menu was not extensive and the choices were excellent, making selection difficult as most were very appetising. We weren't disappointed- the food was excellent, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The whole experience was a very pleasant surprise, relaxed with no pressure, and we would definitely recommend it, and we will certainly be eating there again.

We booked a breakfast on 25th January 2025 for 3 people and were bowled over by the quality of the food. We had an English breakfast, a vegetarian breakfast, and the smashed Avocado with poached eggs. All the food was top quality and perfectly cooked. The setting was beautiful with log fire and subtle music playing. The management were friendly and helpful and the service was perfectly timed. The value for money was excellent! We have visited several times before and enjoyed the breakfast and lunch menus, but now under new management the quality is even better. We have already booked up a lunch for a few weeks time.

Improvement on previous Sunday dinner. Food got cold quickly and roast potatoes on the hard side. £5 extra for cauliflower cheese made for an expensive dinner. Service very good, drinks also very good. Atmosphere very echoed. Perhaps soft furniture would help. Will return as this is our local and has gone through a refurbishment and several different managers and chefs in the last few years and seems at last to be slowly improving.

Lovely meal, but you need to put your fish and chips on a bigger plate as it was way too small. Other than that it was lovely!
