   We ate here on New Year’s Eve, when we booked we were given the option of the “standard menu” or the “three course set menu” in Which we selected the standard menu. When we arrived we were given the set menu where we immediately said this isn’t the menu we booked as it was ‘£95’ per person. The waiter told us this is the only menu we were allowed so I explained that I’d booked the standard menu… she then said that she had sent a message saying it’s only the set menu in which I showed her that I had not received a message at all. The lady then went off to speak to her manager who said that we can’t just have a main - which we thought was very unreasonable. We then decided to just have the set menu as it was New Year’s Eve and we wouldn’t have been able to get in anywhere else. I ordered the prawns, the lamb shish and sticky toffee pudding. With the prawns we got 4 small prawns, the lamb shish was 5 small pieces of lamb a small slice of a wrap and a bit of salad so we asked if we could have some chips to go with it because there was barely anything on the plate. The waiter said that’s fine and he’ll go and get us some, he then come back and said sorry I can’t give you chips which we thought was ridiculous as we was paying £95 for barely anything on our plates and we couldn’t have a small bowl of chips to go with it. We were extremely disappointed by the value for money and the fact we were forced to have the set menu even though we booked the standard one, we wouldn’t of chosen the Luxe for our New Year’s Eve meal if we knew that we had to have the set menu. Overall, in comparison to similar venues such as the Kara I would much prefer the Kara where the service is a lot better, you get bread on the table to share the value for money is always great and the atmosphere is always pleasant.

   The set lunch menu is amazing value for money with plenty of choice. The food was tasty. Drinks were a bit expensive. A quirky restaurant with a strange choice of background music.

   Lovely venue , food was good , forgot our side order so had to prompt , but these things happen , ate upstairs and there was no music playing , just needs that adding to help the ambience

   The food was very good but the staff came across very rude. They had a singer on in the evening and it was far too loud every table around us was complaining about the noise. My partner asked if they could turn the volume down just a little a bit and the answer was no. We left pretty quickly with other customers doing the same. It was a shame as food was good. I don’t think we would ever go back.

   Great food and atmosphere. Most of the staff were really friendly. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. Starters were excellent and my Fillet Steak was the best I have had for years.

   It was okay. The food isn’t exactly up to standard for the cost of the meal. We were definitely expecting a better quality of food.

   This is a very nicely decorated restaurant and really clean. The service and food let it down. My friend had a prawn linguine and it had huge lumps of chilli..like a chilli chopped in 3 mixed in with her linguine - it was far too spicy. However We enjoyed the flat bread and humus and I liked my halloumi. £33 for a bottle of Prosecco is steep but a glass was £10! Service wasn’t great as our plates were on the table a while after we finished eating.

   Overall very good . Food was excellent as was service. One disappointment was having booked in October we were emailed in November saying December bookings would require a £20 per head deposit which I paid. On the night it wasn't taken off the bill and in fact they said they had no record of it. !! Finally they found it but only after our insistence. Did not appreciate that and spoilt the evening a bit.
