We went to The Met Dining Room to enjoy their limited-time Summerlicious menu. The food was delicious. This hidden gem is located within the Ted Rogers School of Management. The restaurant operates seasonally, and many of the servers are students from the Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (the first hospitality program in Canada). Dining here supports their education and is a delightful experience. I highly recommend it!

Ceasar salad and salmon were terrific. So was flourless chocolate cake. Instead of prawns we were served tiny shrimp. Server did not know menu and constantly had to find answers (but at least she did find out). Not impressed with food or experience.

Best Summerlicious ever. The menu was superb, and elegantly presented. Great prawn appetizer, perfect crispy chicken with slaw, succulent salmon with the chef's secret sauce, and a fine flourless chocolate cake. Our server was cheerful and thoroughly professional. Only complaint was lukewarm coffee, but that can be forgiven when everything else was so outstanding. Could not recommend more highly.

Was there for Summerlicious and on a day when it was a full house. Service was attentive and the food was delicious. Was a little difficult to grab the final bill but understandable. Unfortunately the outside patio was not available. Would be interested in going during the regular school year.

Great customer service and food is excellent. The appetizer "Atlantic Baby Prawn Cup with Cucumber, Avocado" was good but I needed to add a bit of salt to enhance the taste. For the main entree, I had "Roasted Market Fish (Salmon) and Tomato Veloute". This was scrumptious and to die for. I ended my meal with an exquisite and delicious "Mango and Coconut Sago Pudding". The 3 course meal was fully enjoyable.

Very hard to get into the building because you have to call the restaurant and have someone come down to let you in.

Keep in mind that this establishment is a training ground for students taking courses in the hospitality industry. The ambiance of the place is sterile, think hospital cafeteria. The service was slow and ragged reflecting the inexperience of the servers who seemed to lack adequate adult supervision that day. It was slow to get menus and then to place our order. In fact 2 women at a table got up and left in disgust as the service was so slow. Once the food was ordered, the appetizer, corn soup, was delivered quickly. The soup broth tasted good but was overwhelmed by a big piece of melted goat cheese which seemed out of place. Additionally there was popcorn in the soup which was creative but strange. Main dish was panko crusted Atlantic salmon with grilled thin strips of zucchini and yellow squash. Excellent flavour and preparation but the dish could have used some starch like wild rice or even quinoa. Dessert was an excellent warm flour less chocolate cake. The students were unfailingly polite and helpful but the place could use a manager who properly oversees the dining room to ensure adequate supervision and service.
