The popular Millers Bar, which has consistently been voted by the public as one of Yorkshire’s top 30 favourite pubs.

We would say it is one of Yorkshire’s rising stars after seeing £300,000 of investment since opening in 2014. The canal-side pub offers amazing food from homemade pizza to mouth-watering pie along with around 15 specialist ales, world lagers, extensive wine list and imported coffee. It’s also the only pub in the UK with ROKTFACE on its doorstep been the highest man-made outdoor climbing wall in the UK.

Two of us visited for Sunday lunch and had the wild mushroom starter and the beef and chicken roasts. Most of the mushrooms were quite tough (very tasty and well presented). Chicken was boned and rolled thigh inluding veins, sinew and fat- the menu stated 'breast'. The beef was carved too thick and not as tender as expected for a salmon cut of beef. Potatoes were hard and dry - same for the Yorkshire pudding. Our meals including 3 drinks was just short of £50. For that price, I expect better - at the very least, what the menu states (or an explanation if something has been substituted before ordering) and sezting / tables which are suited - eating with the table top at chest height was not particularky comfortable or dignified. We left hungry enough to go back and eat the whole lot again but quite unprepared to ever return.

Monthly visit for Sunday lunch - best roast potatoes and amazing red cabbage and proper Yorkshire puddings and gravy cannot be beaten. The chocolate brownie is so goey and the Apple and rhubarb crumble is the best I have ever tasted.

Food used to be very good and consistent but after our last visit we won’t be returning. Fish half the size of what they used to serve, it wasn’t great either. A rather soggy pale yellow weird batter and fish tasted peculiar. Service meh, what a disappointing birthday lunch

We came for Sunday lunch and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. Didn’t say anything at the time as didn’t want to spoil what was meant to be a lovely time out wirh my husband. The Sunday dinner we had was only just warm and the portion size was so so small!!! We were still hungry after we had eaten. Very very poor!!

Disappointing food. Mostly just ok but onion ring were first time slap cold and then raw. Chips were in fact homemade potato wedges! Apparently new chef. Food has been consistently excellent for many years. Will give another try with a new menu, but are now actively seeking new places to eat.
