What can Say - we walked in and thought oh no we will get ignored and will get bad service - how wrong we were - we were treated well, asked how were, the owner even spoke to us for a while. Food was amazing - tasted really good and was presented beautifully. would go there again if we every visit Bath again

Had a disappointing meal after a previous wonderful experience here. The service was good but our knowledge of Indian food is limited and made to feel this. The meal was good but not worth the price tag. 3 people £136.(no wine). A little annoyed also that they charged 12.5% tip which was included on the bill. I love to tip but not forced to and not usually 12.5% for 3 people.

Service and food very good, however extremely over priced and comes with a service charge of £9. No draft beers only 330ml bottles and wine is well expensive for that type of cheap plonk. Would not recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone as there are many others out there where you would struggle to spend half the cost.

The restaurant looks the part from the lush interior. Unfortunately it's service and food didn't match. We were celebrating my husbands 40th birthday which the restaurant knew as I told them when we booked. There was no mention of a happy birthday! The food was presented beautifully but the spices were not cooked and had a raw taste. The jalfrezi was unbelievable hot (a dish we order regularly at many other Indians). There were good vegetarian options. We were totally rushed through and had both starters and main within 40 minutes despite asking for a gap the main came out as soon as the starter plate was taken. This was not the birthday celebration we had hoped for.

The restaurant provides a beautiful and elegant setting, which, unfortunately, was not matched by the level of service. There were a number of missteps and the service seemed extremely rushed. My husband ordered a single malt whisky; the waiter brought it over ice when none was requested. When we pointed this out, the waiter did replace it with a whisky "neat." However, he ran off before my husband could request a pitcher of water with the drink. When we finally were able to request water, we were given (and charged for) bottled water. Some of the servers (of European, not Indian, descent) seemed to have a very limited understanding of English, making communication very difficult. I'm sorry to say that I don't recall much about the quality of the food - it was probably OK, but our impressions of the evening were overshadowed by the service. I believe we finished our meal in about an hour. One thing that was memorable was trying to drive to this location and the designated parking lot - not recommended for tourists like us who aren't familiar with the roads in Bath. If you can't walk there, suggest taking a taxi! Lastly, we did not notice that the service charge was automatically added to the bill - the subject of many other reviews. My husband added a tip and the waiter did not say anything - perhaps looking forward to collecting a double (and unearned) tip. We did point this out to the manager before leaving and he refunded the extra tip that we'd put on our credit card. We spent 7 weeks in Ireland and the UK; this was one of our (few) disappointing/negative dining experiences.

Food was excellent but unfortunately service was very poor. We waited over an hour for our main course and even when we enquired how long it would be, did not get an apology. The Maitre D seemed very ambivalent to our concerns. Such a shame as the food was delicious. This was a special occasion so it was disappointing overall.
