    The Olive Tree is lovely. Great location for walks before or after too - take a left out the front door and walk straight down the lane ahead until you come to the lock then you can double back down the canal. Plenty of other longer walk options form the canal too. Back to the pub review! The staff are always so nice and friendly. The food is delicious and well presented. The ambience is lovely particularly down by the fire. Try the Goan curry and the popcorn shrimp and squid are great nibbly starters. The sandwiches are pretty formidable so make sure you're hungry! All reasonably priced too - 25 quid a head without booze. They also do a jazz night once a month on the second sunday. Get involved people!

    Another lovely visit to The Olive Tree. Kathy and her team looked after us beautifully and the food and atmosphere was perfect. We were catching up with old friends we had not seen for a while and it was lovely to feel welcome to relax and have a very unhurried lunch in pleasant surroundings. All the food was lovely but will specifically mention the Goan Fish Curry which was universally praised.

    Fantastic Sunday lunch, lovely friendly staff. The meat was succulent and the vegetables were delicious, especially the cauliflower cheese. Pudding was also wonderful.
