   Great location. Arrived and we were left standing at the door with staff whizzing past us to attend to a wedding party and didn’t even acknowledge we were there for over 10 minutes, I had to ask someone if we could be seated. Once seated we noted that there was little ambience with no background music. The food was lovely when they hadn’t ran out of items on the menu. My wife and I ended up having to share a piece of carrot cake for dessert. This was a wedding anniversary meal and supposed to be special but we would attend again.

   Absolutely fantastic and quite possibly the best food we have ever eaten. Matt could not have done any more to make it an enjoyable evening for my husband and I and the cocktails he made had his own individual twist. He even offered to make us our favourite cocktail if it were not on the menu. Our waitress, Bella, was really friendly and professional and did an excellent job in looking after us. Credit has to go to the young, but incredibly talented, Josh who made the most amazing Focaccia and starters. He is definitely ‘up and coming’ and we would not be surprised to see him on Master Chef in the future. This was not just a meal out, it was a truly enjoyable dining experience and we cannot recommend highly enough. If you are looking for a special night out then book a table - you won’t be disappointed.

   Delicious meals in the historic dining room of the Osborne Hotel. Matt, the manager, is very personable and has lots of exciting plans for the restaurant. Dinners were sophisticated and flavorful, and the breakfast options were varied and tasty.

   Hotel changed booking time, even though we booked weeks before the date, they had a function so mucked us about, food was good, but expensive for the amount of food, not very generous. Overall ok

   Went for Sunday lunch, which is a set menu affair. Quite a limited choice - only 3 or 4 options for starters and mains, but what came out was excellent, and at £19.95 for two courses, good value for money. Service was a little slow, but that may have been compounded by the family table of about 20 behind us. Staff were very pleasant, although our waitress didn't seem too familiar with either the menu or the wine list. From considerable experience, we know this is quite often an issue with training. All in all, a pleasant experience, and we will certainly return at some point, now that we know what to expect.

    Booked dinner as we were staying at the hotel for a function. Checked out the reviews after booking and was concerned at how mixed they were but needn’t have worried. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely. We both had the ham hock starter and chicken supreme mains, both I would highly recommend. Slightly more expensive than average but was worth it. We were also offered a complimentary pre starter, a new item they were trialling focaccia bread of some sort which was also excellent and the server asked us after each dish for our opinions which we heard him feed back to the kitchen so they genuinely cared about what they were serving. Will definitely be returning. Thank you.
