Welcome to The Oyster Rock, a family-owned and operated waterfront Calabash seafood restaurant specializing in excellent seafood and raw bar items, mixed with a flavorful variety of mouth-watering beef, chicken and pork dishes, along with sandwiches and burgers all prepared in house every day using only the freshest and finest ingredients from local and regional suppliers and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean right outside our doors.

Overlooking the scenic Calabash River and its pristine estuaries and relaxing atmosphere, The Oyster Rock provides the most amazing view around, from our indoor and outdoor seating areas and bars featuring more than 24 domestic and imported beers on tap, 30 wines by the glass and a delicious collection of specialty cocktails.

    We are locals land always frequent when we have guests visiting us. On this particular occasion I cannot say enough great things about our server, Edgardo J (I hope I have that right). He was exceptional with his service and familiarity with the menu. Outstanding at answering questions regarding the food and his personality was an added plus to our evening! As always, the food was excellent. It's called Oyster Rock for a reason. We love sitting in the enclosed outdoor space to take advantage of the beautiful view.

    Outstanding seafood - fresh off the boat. Great location on waterfront. Covered patio is wonderful - overhead fans keep air moving .

    As always, the food was delicious. However, the wait staff stands out here. Our thanks to Jeff who had wonderful recommendations and was attentive to not only us, but all of his tables. Thank you, Jeff!

    We come from Columbus Ohio and spend time in Myrtle Beaxh every year. Oyster Rock has been our go to for our anniversary dinner each year. Every single year we are even more impressed than the last. The sea bass and grouper were amazing! The scooby snacks-perfection! Olivia was our server and she knew exactly how to read our table. She offered suggestions, was timely and professional and filled with smiles and great energy even though we could tell she was very busy. We will ask for her again. Highly recommend a reservation and going an hour early to enjoy a beverage on the patio and sit by the water. It’s gorgeous. Also the outside bar made a lovely new mocktail and let us name it The Ollie. Delicious and so sweet ! Thanks for making our 29th memorable!

    We eat at Oyster Rock every trip to the beach. It’s one of our favorite restaurant’s. I make reservations in April for dinner in June to make sure we can get in. This experience was not the best. Our waitress was great! She was the best part of the experience. The dinner left A LOT to be desired. The appetizer (Scubie Snacks -not sure if the spelling ) did not have any meat. The Mahi, one of the specials, was over cooked. The entree, Chicken and the Deep Blue Sea, the chicken was overcook and the sauce was thick more like a gravy. Definitely not like it’s been in the past. I hope this is not the new norm. Do Better, Oyster Rock.

    Overall dining experience was excellent! Cocktails very well mixed. Tuna appetizer good and house brand raw oysters absolutely delicious and good size! Grilled Grouper and marinated Sea Bass excellent and perfectly prepped. Mahi a bit thin but well grilled and tasty. Sides so good - spiced collards, mashed potatoes, hushpuppies, complimentary freshly-made potato chips & crab dip, salads :). And desserts for us were a yummy close to the meal - a most authentic key lime pie and vanilla crème brûlée! Yes we overate and enjoyed every sip and bite of it! And LaWanda is a great waiter always - 5 stars for her!

    We went for the 4:00 time slot. Perfect weather for an outside table and the live music at 5 was great. As always the service and food - fantastic. OR is still our favorite spot to take friends and family visiting from out of town.
