For those who love their afternoon teas fresh, fragrant and steeped in history, Palm Court at The Drake Hotel serving tea for over a century. Even the Queen and Princess Diana have made their royal visits here. Your afternoon tea begins with Palais de Thes menu, which features 15 tea blends including classic selections like the English Breakfast to modern yet delightful twists like the Mélange du Cap.
Tea is served in individual tea pots accompanied by the traditional three tiered tea tray filled with an arrangement of gourmet finger sandwiches and scones; and dainty petit fours with complements of preserves, lemon curd and English double Devon cream.
And let’s not forget about our little tea. The Prince & Princess Afternoon tea service, suitable for children between 3 and 12 years of age is available throughout the duration of afternoon tea service.
Reservations are heavily encouraged.

For those who love their afternoon teas fresh and steeped in history, Palm Court at The Drake Hotel serving tea for nearly a century is the quintessential Magnificent Mile afternoon tea experience. Even the Queen and Princess Diana have made their visits here. Your afternoon tea begins with a peruse of the Palais de Thes menu, which features 15 tea blends. Tea is served in individual tea pots accompanied by three tiered tea tray filled with an arrangement of gourmet finger sandwiches; delicious breads and scones; and dainty petit fours with accoutrement. The Prince & Princess Afternoon tea service, suitable for children between 3 and 12 years of age. Reservations are heavily encouraged. Full tea service seating duration is 90 minutes max.

We had Afternoon Tea for Valentine's Day for $78 per person. Very reasonable prize for Chicago and for the amount and quality of food served. Tea variety on the menu was great. Items on the trays were very good and very filling. Most people cannot finish it all. We were offered tea and food refills which is rare when having afternoon tea anywhere so it was a nice gesture from The Drake Palm Court. Our server Azmir was super friendly and courteous and did a great job. The Palm Court hostess at the entrance was very kind and friendly, sitting us on our desired table, previously requested in the reservation. This place is a Chicago classic and noise level is high since it is always packed. We highly recommend the Palm Court not only for Afternoon Tea but for lively dinners.

Amazing service!! Our waiter was perfection. Kept us full and filled up without being overbearing. The sandwich’s were a little meh this time. The deserts were perfect. Would absolutely still be back. The Drake is an institution and high tea is always such a nice treat

An unforgettable experience that you can only get in Chicago. It’s a must try for anyone looking for a romantic date idea. Highly recommended, and make sure you get extra scones!

This was a very beautiful experience, finally arriving at the Drake for the verse time after living in Chicago for so long and finally entering something so immaculate and as gorgeous as this beautiful building and peace of history.

The staff were courteous and helpful. They were very understanding of my vegetarian restrictions. I would recommend it to other vegetarians who like tea and enjoy a peaceful and royal experience.

The Drake is old and classy. The Palm Court Tea Room is beautiful. The harpist added such ambience. The waiters are polite yet fun. The tea and the edibles are delicious and interesting. It is an expensive but very worthwhile experience.
