   Probably the best steakhouse in the Hamptons and Chris the manager runs a tight ship. Food is delicious and service is on point.

   Been dining here for 20 years, the food is consistently very good but the service has slipped on my last two visits. This past Saturday evening we were seated for an early dinner, not that busy yet and waitress did not show until 15 minutes later…did not ask for drink orders (had to remind her) and immediately shoved menus in front of us. Did not reappear with drink for another 15 minutes…we ordered but she had not provided us with wine list! Once meal arrived I had to ask where our wine was!! The wait staff needs a bit of retraining here!

   NEVER AGAIN! Every time I dine here I feel as if I’m at Chuck E. Cheese! They always seat crying loud children near us! This time was no exception. 4 entitled adults w 2 obnoxious children! I love kids! I was a kid myself but c’mon! How do you allow a stroller in the dining room? I know the restaurant can’t control people’s lack of manners but you can say… no strollers! Oh, the steaks? Definitely lack luster! For a steak house these were definitely subpar! Chewy and a bit overcooked. The sides and apps were good but folks…. We came for the steaks, the ambiance and a pleasant meal! You folks should go to The Palm in Boston and get a few pointers from them! Their steaks are of the highest quality. East Hampton has many fine restaurants and quite honestly, I think I could have found a better steak at any one of them! Overall, a very disappointing experience. As I said, never again. This was 3 strikes.

   The hosts, Chris and Matthew, were warm and friendly and seemed anxious to please. Lou, our server, was attentive and couldn’t have been more helpful. The lobster was delicious, as were the starters that we had, which were plentiful. Will definitely return!

    Another exceptional experience at The Palm, Wedge salad was huge and delicious, Caesar Salad perfect once again, Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and melted in our mouths…the roasted garlic bulb is a wonderful accompaniment that is fantastic. Vegetables were flavored just right…. Lou our waiter was super, knowledgable and attentive even though the restaurant was quite busy. As it was a birthday celebration Lou presented us with a dessert of cheesecake with salted caramel that was divine and on the house! For a perfect steak, atmosphere and service The Palm East Hampton is the place to go…..ask for Lou
