   We have loved the sister properties, both Bar Cecil and Sparrows but this was very disappointing. We arrived 15 minutes late and the Bar Tender loudly scolded us, even though we apologized and the restaurant was half full. But worst part was the sulfur smell that permeated the area and we had to get up and leave as it was a sickening ambience. We tried to order the chicken (signature dish) and mushrooms -- and both were unavailable and we did order steak and meat was tough and cold.

   Hi Jill, Thank you for your critical feedback on your recent experience. The bartender, myself; Chris the GM definitely didn't loudly scold you for being late. All we ask is that you call the hotel and let us know that you are running 15+ minutes late. The same thing would have happened at Sparrows Lodge and Bar Cecil, we only ask for communication to keep the kitchen abreast of any changes in our reservations. Kind Regards, Chris Garber

   We always love dining at the Pantry at Holiday House. The food was awesome as usual and the staff was very courteous. My husband had the fired chicken and I had the Cobb salad.

   The food was delicious and the outdoor dining area was really pretty. The service was a little slow but the servers were really friendly. I will definitely go back.

   Lovely patio setting in a hip stylish hotel. The restaurant’s blue and white decor (which is the theme of the hotel) is beautiful. Menu is a little limited, but food was good. My friend had the fried chicken sandwich, and said it’s very good. The service is a little casual, but the servers were pleasant. I would return because of the wonderful resort vibe and the location near downtown P.S.

   It’s a well decorated restaurant. Probably a great hotel. Short menu and nice spot for breakfast or lunch if you’re staying at the hotel. We were disappointed in the fried chicken (a signature item) and the service was what I might expect at an over-touristed cafe in France.

   You arrive just before noon and the dining area is empty. Three people total. You are asked if you have a reservation. You say no and as you look at the empty dining area they say we do not take walk-ins. They proceed to make you reserve a table online, which you do. You sit, you eat and throughout the entire meal only 3 additional diners arrive. Do they think this service enhances their reputation? Does this make the Pantry more exclusive? Food you can have anywhere. Indifferent and almost non-existent wait staff. Get the basics right and maybe someone might return.

    This is such a great little spot! We are full-time here in PS and don’t know why we don’t come here more often. We met out of town friends here for brunch. Menu is limited but what they do have is always fresh and tasty. We’ll be back.
