    Best place for high tea, we love coming here. We tried Scottish tea this time and it was also phenomenal. Highly recommend.

    We celebrated a birthday here and the experience was lovely. Service was knowledgeable and helpful, especially for those that hadn’t experienced high tea before. I would’ve given five stars across the board, and perhaps this was my lack of specificity - there were tables that had window views in other rooms, and when I requested something with a lovely view, I was assured we would have “a lovely table”. It was lovely, but set in the dining room, not near any window. Having booked months prior, I made the assumption we would’ve had a view of the gardens but while lovely, it was slightly underwhelming compared to other seating shown in the website’s gallery. I won’t hold it against the venue, next time I will try to be more specific in my request. As for the food, delish! I wasn’t a fan of the chicken, only because I do not care for raisins or sultanas, but that’s a “me” problem. If you don’t have an aversion, you’ll love it.

    Excellent food, service, right down to the bus boy! Afternoon tea was superb, with great variety and we added champagne to top it off.

    The place is nice and the tea was good. Food was as well. We were extremely disappointed in our service. Our waitress never came to check on us and ask if we needed anything. Water was not refilled either. Once our food was delivered no one came by again. Walked past us multiple times but never stopped. I even had to go to the front desk to get our check. Very disappointed.

    Scottish High Tea at Pendray--wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Victoria. So many rooms, neat tile on the floors, impressive stained glass, and BTW....a large and delicious serving tray of delicacies! Wasn't able to finish the entire tray. I live here part-time, yet had not enjoyed high tea at this spot. Glad to check it off my list.

    The Pendray Inn is just what you'd hope for in an Afternoon Tea! The atmosphere is spot on, Victorian and old fashioned with wood and lace and chandeliers. The tea cups were so cute and the food was delicious!! It was so cute and fancy. One note is that the servers were a little... Less than. They were totally fine and did their job, but it would have been nice if they were a little nicer and more formal? Also it would have been nice if there were better kid options, but maybe there aren't many kids who go there. My 10 year old was ok with apple juice

    We had a reservation for 5 pm on a Friday. Service was attentive and the food, excellent. The only high tea available was the Scottish High Tea. It would have been fun to mix and match the regular afternoon tea with the Scottish, but it was still quite enjoyable.
