   Splendid affair as usual, popped in for a couple. Ended up having a load of bar snacks and watched the cricket which they very kindly put on. Ale was spot on which is impressive at a quiet time of the year. Bound to return (again)

   I recently visited The Phoenix Pub and decided to try both their chicken pie and burger. It’s not easy to find pubs that excel at both comfort food and classics, but this one delivered. The chicken pie was the star for me. The pastry was flaky and golden, holding up well without going soggy. Inside, the filling was rich, creamy, and packed with tender chicken and vegetables. It tasted homemade, with just the right balance of seasoning. The portion size was generous, and the pie was served hot and fresh, which made a big difference. The burger was equally impressive. The patty was juicy and well-seasoned, cooked perfectly to retain its flavor. The bun held everything together without falling apart, and the toppings were fresh and crisp. I appreciated that they kept things simple – no over-the-top ingredients, just a solid, well-executed burger. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we were happy with our meals. They even checked on the food’s temperature and quality, which showed they’re serious about customer satisfaction. Overall, The Phoenix offers hearty, well-prepared food in a welcoming atmosphere. Both the chicken pie and burger were excellent, and it’s clear they take pride in serving fresh, comforting dishes. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu.

   From the moment i came into the pub the staff were welcoming and cheering.They seated us. We had one fish and chips and burgers which was delicious by the way. I had to give a great salute to harshal who welcomed us and checked us in particular interval. A place worth the visit. Going to come back again

   The phoenix is an amazing pub. The food and service were top notch. It was quite busy but the staff made us feel welcome and they were very attentive. It was good vibes all around. The drinks also were reasonably priced and the cocktails were delicious. We will definitely be back!

   I have frequented this pub a great deal, but mainly for drinks until my most recent visit. The food doesn't disappoint. The Fish and Chips are to die for and I received wonderful service from Ope as I always do. As with my previous visits the ale is spot on and it's comfort to know they aren't having to ration the Guinness yet!

   We turned up for a meal for 8 people. They didn’t have any food other than sausage rolls. Slight problem….

    A warm welcome by bar staff who remembered me. Menu was limited and prices higher than a couple of months ago. Tudor provided excellent service.
