Great pub with lots of locals going there to drink and eat. Lovely menu selection with a couple of specials each night. Quirky pub that can get very busy so do book. Great food and although slightly more expensive than a town pub at home, worth the extra for being somewhere in the middle of nowhere!

Much improved menu from last time we visited! Unfortunately only one person behind bar, so quite a wait for huge influx of people at 6:30. But still a great and very unique pub.

WELL worth the 1 hour plus drive from Plymouth! A wonderful out of the way place, through amazing Devon country lanes with awesome views. The food, wine and cold beer was excellent! The BEST fish n chips and burger. Staff very friendly (as were the locals) efficient and professional. Just wished we could have stayed for the music gig. We will be back!!

Lovely, family run country pub with serving The Best Sunday lunches, crispiest roast potatoes, large Yorkshire puds and tasty gravy! Rustic and traditional in essence. The best place to go if you want to take a step away from every day life, and enjoy good food, drink and a friendly atmosphere. A little off the beaten track, bit oh, so worth it!

What a wonderful review — thank you so much! We’re so proud to be a family-run pub, and it means the world to hear you enjoyed your Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. We love that you described us as a proper escape — that’s exactly the kind of atmosphere we aim to create. If you’ve got a spare minute, we’d be so grateful if you shared your kind words on TripAdvisor too — it really helps others find their way to us, even if we are a little off the beaten track! Hope to see you again soon.

A jolly and unusual pub! Food pretty good and pleasant staff. Rather noisy. We had to wait a long time for food to arrive which was not so good for a group with hungry children. If we had been told would be a long wait we would have ordered nibbles! Staters looked very good and could be offered as main course size
The Pigs Nose Inn, East PrawleResponded on 25 March 2025
Thanks so much for your honest review — we're really glad you enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, and that our team made you feel welcome. We're sorry to hear about the wait, especially with hungry little ones — that’s definitely something we’ll take on board. We always aim to give guests a heads-up during busy periods, and we’ll make sure we’re better at that going forward. Really appreciate the suggestion about offering starters in main course size too — that’s a great idea. If you ever fancy giving us another go, we’d love to welcome you back (and we’ll have the nibbles ready next time!).
