Our waitress, Hailey, was great. She answered all of our questions and made us laugh. She really made the night even better.

This place is so overpriced. The only plus is you have to appreciate that George Washington stayed or ate here. We had gift cards that I gave my wife for Christmas over a year ago in 23. The fine print states that after a year, every month past the issue date, the face value would decrease 5% every month. However, the waitress said the face value was still $100.00. Maybe she received them in 2024 and not 2023. Now..... Vallet car service. You park the car within a feet of the entrance. You hand the Vallet your keys and he puts them on a tire. Then upon leaving, he walks to the car that you just recently parked and brings it two you for a tip. We ate in historic room, it was noisy. This is the second and last time for us coming here. The flimsy paper menus were simply printed on a B&W printer, probably in draft mode (to save ink). The sharpness was minimal. The prices were very hard to read. You had paper napkins too. Our server was very nice. My wife ordered the Salmon and I ordered 8oz. Sirloin steak. My wife liked her salmon, but my steak was about a half inch thick (average). I ordered it medium rare and it came out well done. I sent it back and they cooked another one. This one came out almost medium well. It too was a half inch thick on average. It is very hard to cook a steak this thin because it’s so thin. The waitress offered to take this one back and I said don't worry about it. The fries were good though. Not a piece of green or garnish on either plate. We had dessert at home. After all was said and done, the steak meal was taken off the check. On a positive note, the House Cab was very good and at only $11.00 per glass. I left the waitress a $20.00 tip. One more thing, all the wait staff were very young and the boys dressed in T shirts. I think there was only one adult cooking in the kitchen, all the rest appearedto be very young

Absolutely wonderful staff! The best I’ve seen in a very long time! Menus were difficult to read so we were shocked at our bill plus they add a percentage when a card is used, so for one time, it was ok. We won’t be returning, sadly.

Over the years we have eaten at the pineville tavern. They have been consistently inconsistent. Our family had tried to make this a go to place. Tonight’s meal and service was “limited”. Several of our party members after dining stated they should have just ordered a salad…can’t mess that up. Though I ordered the General Tsao’s salad for lunch two weeks ago and they had to redo it because it was ordered GF. Things to work on: 1. Consistency in the food preparation and quality 2. Wait staff…after food is served a check back needs to occur. It didn’t. 3. It took 45 minutes to actually get our food tonight. 4. Closing out, a diner should not have to wait 10 minutes to make payment. 5. Clean can tops of beverages served….nasty stains on top. 6. Bathrooms were poorly cleaned.

Our server was attentive and we had a quiet table in the garden, as requested. The food was okay, but not in itself a draw. The bread used for the Reuben, a special of the day, was maybe old. It was definitely dry. The onion rings were overcooked. Salad and burger were satisfactory
