The Pink Door is an independently owned (never cloned, never genetically modified) restaurant that has been quietly dedicated to fresh & local Italian food since 1981. Its seafood & produce driven menu has been the central theme throughout its wildly popular domain in Seattle's Pike Place Market.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Dylan Giordan

From the OpenTable editors: A Seattle favorite since 1981, this Pike Place Market restaurant is where owner Jackie Roberts wholly embraces her Italian American heritage. Think seasonal vegetables dipped in bagna cauda, fettuccine with braised wild boar, and negroni sbagliatos all served in an airy, rustic dining room decked out with white tablecloths and chandeliers. When the weather's nice, post up on the restaurant's charming patio for some epic Elliott Bay views.

Outstanding dining experience and remains one of the best Seattle restaurants with a unique atmosphere. The dinner portions are small but very well crafted with all the essential Italian flavors.

Booked our table a month ago, was really excited to visit, The pink door doesn’t let us down. The Food was soooo good and we definitely ordered too much for two, we went straight with 4 Fresh Northwest oysters, Bagna Cauda(Hot Bath), Squid Ink Tonnarelli and Mama’s Meatballs; end up packing it for dinner the night as well, but it was so satisfying. Bagna Cauda (Hot bath) is the most amazing, knowing it’s just a “dip” for veggie, however, it’s different —- you have to try it to know how good it is.

The Pink door exceeded expectations, the lasagna was the best I have ever had and the gingerbread sticky toffee pudding was incredible. Oysters were so fresh. Abby was an exceptional server and made the experience one I won’t forget.

Been coming to The Pink Door since 1982. Worked in the Market all through high school. Always 100%. Until last night. I think the pasta chef was off. My lamb shank was perfect. Alas, husband and daughter’s pasta dishes didn’t meet the occasion. We’ll return of course. One time over 40 years is still an incredibly high batting average.

This is hands down the finest restaurant in Seattle. The fact that it showcases what makes Seattle unique and special sets it apart from every other restaurant in Seattle. Flawless service and exceptional food in the best setting in Seattle; Pike Place Market.
