Gaylords now rebranded as The Plantation House by Gaylords offers one of Kauai's most beautiful settings for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Located in the historic Kilohana Plantation home, diners are seated around an open-air courtyard with views of the plantation grounds and Mt. Waialeale in the distance. Our kitchen uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients supporting our local farmers and fishermen. Our 67-acre sustainable farm provides much of the produce and herbs used in our dishes and cocktails. Menu items include starters like fresh Ahi poke, fried brie, fresh seafood, delicious steaks and vegan entrees too. Don't forget about our famous Banana Cream Pie for dessert! Take a walk around the Kilohana grounds, shop in our assorted boutiques, visit the Koloa Rum shop, go on a rum safari adventure or take a ride on the plantation train.

                                                      We've eaten at Gaylords many times over the years and we have never been disappointed. We consider the venue to be fine dining. Service is excellent. And they mostly play Hawaiian music which is perfect for the venue.

                                                      My husband and I have been dining at Gaylords for over 30 years. Today we had lunch and we will think twice before we come again. We each ordered an ice tea. When asked if refills were charged, the waitress said yes. We chose to have water. The bill came and then realized that ice tea was 6.00 per glass. This pricing is outrageous. I spoke to the main hostess, she listened and said one refill should have been given. There was no offer to refund or offer any solutions except she would speak to the manager. Very disappointed.... Gloria and Al Bourdon

                                                      When we arrived the hostess asked if we were celebrating a birthday as I indicated on the open table reservation - I said yes and everyone proceeded to say happy birthday to my son. It was nice. We sat down and we ordered a bottle of wine - nice wine- and it was a 2019 not 2018 as the menu indicated - I mentioned it and knew the 2019 was not as good as the 2018, the waiter passed it off as a “busy holiday season”. For dinner I ordered a filet mignon and my husband ordered the scallops, the two kids ordered the “fresh catch” - note the only menu they had in front of them was the kids menu and it was what they pointed too. We had soups for appetizers - they were good - very small portions and the French onion was soaking through the napkin below when served. Then for dinner they served my two kids the Oscar style “fresh catch” from the main menu - it was loaded with crab meat, sauces and other things. I quickly asked the waiter if that was the kids serving as it was huge and he said “no that’s the Oscar style fresh catch” - “you didn’t say kids” - my youngest was very hungry and I knew he wouldn’t eat it so I gave him my steak. My other child just picked at it and ate a few bites. I ate some but it was very rich and I ordered a red wine to pair with the steak. So then the waiter said I will bring out a birthday treat for the birthday boy. He brought out bread pudding. We did not choose a dessert. When the bill came not only were both adult fishes at 48 dollars a piece on the bill but also the bread pudding at 13 dollars - which we didn’t order. It made for a very disappointing meal. My husbands scallops were great.

                                                      Everyone from our server Kekeo, manager Mark, managing partner Kalema, were the best! Helpful to the point of helping me find my lost phone in the grass parking lot. The food was absolutely amazing, very creative and delicious appetizers of fried brie, spring rolls, poke stack and and pulled pork sandwiches. Highly recommend this restaurant!
