The Point brings the thrill and robust flavors of open flame cooking with the freshest seafood in the city. Perfectly situated at the confluence of the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, our contemporary design, tranquil open-air patio and premium fire pits, compliment the picturesque and panoramic views. Although we cannot guarantee outdoor patio dining for all of our guests. We will try to accommodate as many requests as we can on a first come first serve basis.

I had a great waitress named Nancy, I think. I told her we needed to be done and on our way in an hour. She took care of our every need and made sure we left on time. That made a big difference.

This was my second visit to The Point. The menu has been updated and remains delicious. The cornbread was amazing. The crab cakes are no joke. I look forward to returning.

The decor is not great. There’s no theme and it is very bland. Please punch up and do something exotic and chic with that great open space. And the music was horrible especially for Valentine’s Day. It’s okay to go big band or romantic old school R&B. Saving Grace was the service and the food.

My wife and I had a wonderful Valentine’s Day meal at The Point! The restaurant is a great place to go, giving you a great view of the water. They gave free roses to every woman who came it which was a cool surprise. The atmosphere was very nice. The music wasn’t too loud, there were a lot of cool decorations to look at, and despite being very busy it wasn’t loud or cramped. And the food was amazing. The warm crab donuts were fantastic, the Icelandic cod and crab was delectable, and the fried catfish sandwich was amazing. And if that wasn’t enough, the coconut cake and chocolate praline desserts were incredible. It was an amazing meal and we will definitely be back!

I was underwhelmed by The Point. This was my second visit and it may be my last. The burger was very bland and the fries were decent. The bisque was pretty good. While the server was nice, she disappeared without bringing a number of requested items. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the service was just subpar.

Starting with the staff, our server was amazing. She checked on us often, she very polite, offered suggestions and was just on it the whole time. The food was delicious, beginning with the mussels (highly recommend), along with salmon, and lobster bisque. 5 star review!
