We had a large group for afternoon tea at the Post Room. We were seated in a large, beautiful, semi-private room. The servers and service were wonderful. I loved the way they presented the options for tea by coming around with a cart with dry tea leaves in glass vessels to smell before choosing. The bourbon vanilla rooibos was particularly good! The table, dishes, and tea service were beautiful. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the sandwiches a little more robust, so you get a better balance of savory and sweet. I hope that the Post Room will start doing afternoon tea year round!

The restaurant is a little strange in that it’s not in an enclosed area, it’s at the top of the main stairs of the hotel. The service was extremely excruciatingly slow and the food was very mediocre. The avocado toast bread was so tough. I couldn’t cut it with my knife. The salmon Benedict provided a huge portion of salmon, but it wasn’t the best smoked salmon. The burgers that the kids had seemed fine. For the quality of the food, the prices were high.

It was freezing because the restaurant is just up the stairs from the hotel entrance. It was extremely loud, we could not hear each other. The food and service was pretty good.

Had a 2:15 reservation and we got here early and was seated immediately. It was a great start to what we hoped to be an enjoyable meal. However, once seated, we were served champagne relatively quickly but waited until 2:55pm before we were met by our waitress who took our order for our tea selection. The tea came 10-15 minutes later but our 3 tiered small bites didn’t arrive until 3:38 after we became agitated because we were one of 3 tables still waiting for our food. When the small bites arrived, it was disappointing because the bread for the lobster roll was dry, the small bites appeared to have been pre-made and generally tasteless. Service was very slow and our tea pots weren’t refilled until we asked. The management and staff appeared disorganized and didn’t move with a zip. The ambience was nice but the setting was in a very noisy bar. The tea selection was very good and was the highlight of the meal. I suspect this lackadaisical service is attributed to the mandatory service fee that was added to the bill even though it was not earned. Very disappointing experience indeed!

Our first year at the post room for tea. The display was pretty and the presentation of tea unique in that we could smell the different teas before selecting. The sandwiches were good but I think they tried to do too much with the scones. I think people enjoy a plain or currant scone with cream and jam. The price when compared with some of the other hotels was very reasonable.

The staff was totally inattentive. The food was good but ridiculously over priced - a Diet Coke is $8. The place was freezing cold. We ate and left as quickly as we could.

for my birthday our group was provided a table in the back at the library. It was very quiet and private, and absolutely lovely. The holiday decorations are stunning. The food was delicious. The service was attentive and thoughtful and they provided the birthday boy with a glass of bubbly. Would definitely recommend.

Gorgeous high ceilinged restaurant! Excellent food. We had a very nice waitress. A little extra gin in the martini made us smile.

Tessa, our server truly made this experience as wonderful as it was. She was attentive, friendly and had a festive spirit! I Loved the ambiance of The Post Room and when I had high tea there in the past, the food was much better. This time, the finger sandwiches were very good. However, the scones were extremely dry and the cheesecake was so salty none of us could enjoy it. Macaroons were delicious. I’m doubtful I’ll return for high tea but will definitely go back for a cocktail!
