   Had a lovely meal at ‘The Potted Lobster’, Abersoch today. Relaxing ambience and decor and excellent service by all staff throughout. Hope to visit again soon. Thank you.

   A lovely restaurant with excellent service. The starters and desserts were great. We ordered the fish platter for main and were informed that they had run out of mussels but when the dish was served the torched mackerel was also missing so the fried fish element wasn’t balanced out. What was served was of good quality.

   Unfortunately the grilled fish turned out to be floured fried fish and subsequently over cooked although we asked for slightly undercooked. Making a gratin out of courgettes means that unless they are dried before you start the gratin is very watery- which it was. The pannacotta was too stiff and sweet but the coffee flavour good although I asked for it without Amaretto crumbs but that was ignored. The sticky toffee pudding was very nice but with very little sauce despite asking for extra… not ideal when you’re paying over £160 for 2 and that wasn’t with a bottle of champagne! A pleasant meal but not worth the cost.

   We went for Mother’s Day lunch and the food was amazing and the team fantastic, thank you to the whole team for looking after us so well x

   Lovely food as always, great staff always helpful and attentive. Early doors was a bit noisy due to young families but understandable.

    Came here Sunday for the roast it was delicious. Then came Monday had fish dishes and they were both amazing. Would have come again Tuesday but closed. Definitely recommend
