An award-winning pub, bringing you an exciting drinking experience and a unique atmosphere in the heart of Moseley village.

Built in 1860, The Prince of Wales is steeped in history, but it’s the Marsden family that has transformed the venue into something else entirely. Boasting four bars, a heated marquee and even it’s own tiki bar, it’s easy to see how this vision led to us being awarded the coveted BII (British Institute of Innkeepers) award.
Like any good pub, our locals are key and are what bring character to this charming building, much like the wider Moseley area. That being said, we’re not limited to the same-old faces.
From a well-stocked bar carrying all the charm of a traditional pub, to a wine shed spanning the great grape regions & our infamous Mo-Tiki cocktail bar, we’ve truly have got something to suit all tastes.

Food was good. Too much was fried but we were not given a choice on this night. The peppers were very good as was the plantain with guacamole. Side plates would have been handy. Many thanks

The food was sumptuous and fuss free, I would definitely eat here again. The staff were friendly and informative. The ambience was calm and not loud so I was able to hear my friends speak. It is a great place!!!

Really enjoyed the new food menu. I’m veggie and it was great to be able to eat everything on the menu (I think it’s fully vegan too) and everything tasted great. The guac that came with the plantain chips was the best guacamole I’ve ever had and the breaded peppers were a fav too. And as always great staff and a great place to be.

Range of vegan food options, nicely presented. Very quiet on the Sunday evening we went, had a nice wood burner in the summerhouse area to ourselves.

We went to try the Cantina food which was absolutely delicious! Great vegan food and the staff were all so friendly. The pub has a great outdoor space with heaters and fires in the winter and lovely cosy indoor spaces too. There’s something for everyone at the Prince, highly recommend

It’s difficult to be negative when the food was free however it’s also a challenge when the food was disappointing. Virtually every item on the menu was fried which after a plate or two is more than enough, we ended up feeling very eugh after tasting six separate dishes. Onion rings and fried peppers good, finished with the same balsamic which left the same taste. Cauli was far too big so wet on outside inc crumb and firm on inside. Bravas looked great, spuds nicely cooked but bravas sauce and alioli a let down. Guacamole under seasoned and plantain chips bendy. Thirty minute wait as there were two number nine tables despite their being less than nine tables seated in the pub. I think when the pizza is on it will improve because these will instantly become top sellers but I won’t be returning for anything anytime soon. On the other hand the two beers, Timothy Taylor and purity were both equally not of standard so kept to par.

Lovely, welcoming staff. Tried the new veggie tapas. Utterly divine. Particularly enjoyed the cauliflower bites. Unusual choices and full after 4 dishes split between 2. We’ll be back!

We sampled a few courses from the Cantina menu, and will definitely be back for more. The plantian and guac were my favourite, but the patatas bravo a close second place!
