   We had a wonderful experience on Thanksgiving at The Raymond last year, but things were much more uneven this year. Food that was supposed to be hot was, at best, warm, turkey dry, no plates to put dinner rolls & not enough butter for five people, no serving spoons with side dishes, service genial but not attentive (kept having to ask for water refills, the one beer order at the table wasn't delivered, had to request salt and pepper). I realize that Thanksgiving is a busy day for any restaurant, but if things are that pressed, then preload some things -- put a carafe of water on the table so people can serve themselves, put salt & pepper on all tables, don't serve rolls until there are plates on the table, etc. Disappointing given the price.

   This was our first time as a family having our Thanksgiving meal away from home. The entire experience was very special, intimate, food was delicious, servers, music outstanding, vibe perfect…we sat outside on garden patio. It was heaven! (The weather was 73 and sunny!)… The only reason I did not give a 5 for service was ONLY because it was Thanksgiving Day and it seemed they might have been slightly short staffed, however, the servers were delightful and working VERY hard. They just could have had a few more which would assist with getting drinks/water refreshed or other incidentals. I highly recommend The Raymond as a must experience restaurant if you’re looking if for a garden, romantic, historical, beautiful restaurant with amazing food choices, located in Pasadena.

   This was our first time dining at The Raymond. My husband and I made a reservation for brunch. The reservation was for 2 people. The hostess sat us at a 4 person table. Halfway through our meal the waitress came over with another couple, interrupted our conversation and asked if she could sit them with us. We must have looked as shocked and uncomfortable as we felt, because before we could reply the other couple asked her if they could sit elsewhere and she obliged. We finished our meal and asked for a dessert menu. Before we had a chance to order dessert, a group of 3 women came and sat at our table with us. Not only that, I actually had to get up out of my chair to let one of the women pass behind me to get to the seat. It was extremely uncomfortable to have our date/private conversation overtaken by strangers, and we decided to leave instead of ordering dessert. Although the food was good and the atmosphere was cute, this practice of forcing customers to share a table especially when we had a reservation was enough to deter us from ever coming back. We felt disrespected paying so much for inconsiderate service.

   Wonderful ambience - feels like you’re in a cozy (but classy) old home. Service was wonderful. All the food was delicious, and the cocktails are unique and very good. So far, I’ve only been with larger groups of family, but I’d love to come back for a romantic dinner.

   Ever since this restaurant was taken over by a larger company, it has undergone noticeable changes—and not for the better. What once was a charming and inviting establishment with outstanding food has now lost much of its appeal. The menu offerings feel mediocre at best, lacking the vibrant flavors and quality they used to have. While the service is adequate, the staff has changed, and the warm, personal touch that once defined the experience is missing. I truly wish it could return to the exceptional standards and ambiance it once had.

   Great little spot, but there was an issue with a burger we ordered which we asked for "well done" but it came out at Medium temperature and when I addressed the issue with our server, she seemed bothered. The other items we got were okay except for the waffles & pancakes which we enjoyed.

   We had a party of 10 celebrating three birthdays, all family. The service could not have been better and the food was absolutely wonderful.  a beautiful afternoon was had by all !!

    Everything was amazing! The K-Town chicken wings are a must, as well as the bread and butter. The mac n cheese was piping hot and everyone enjoyed their meal! Our server (I think his name was Randy) was AWESOME!! He is also there for Sunday brunch.
