One of my favourite places as its in the old town and away from the Friday night raucous hoardes. They have just started doing Pizzas and offered a 50% off for an introductory period. Well worth a visit

Mixed experience at The Rectory. On the plus side, it is a lovely space and has a great drinks range. It was also quiet when we went for lunch. On the negative side, service was extremely slow and our starters were forgotten about until we asked for them one full hour after ordering. Our mains, which had already been cooked at that point and included burgers and fish & chips, were left to stand under heat lamps for 30 minutes and then brought to us after we had our starters. Because this is a nice venue, we might give it another try in hopes that the service improves. Prices were average for the area.

Relaxed atmosphere and very attentive staff. A bit disappointed with the small potion of vegetables with the roasts meat

The worst thing about this venue is that the staff turnover is notable. Notable because they manage to attract some really good staff and always a shame when you have a great local like this place and the staff keep shifting. Nature of the game I guess but a shame none the less. This is a really good spot on a Friday night especially with the live music and the discount on the menu for friends. Manager is a dream and the chefs are consistently good. We have yet to have a bad meal here.

Roast chicken was lovely, huge portion!! And I’ve had the roast beef before which is great too. Great Yorkshire’s and roast potatoes. Love the music in there, chilled vibe to meet friends.

Great service staff - The roast was fairly good portions but the quality of the meat lacked pizzazz.

Lovely pub with fantastic atmosphere. We went for the pub quiz on the Tuesday - we will be back! A gem in Clapham Old Town.

Very accommodating to a celiac - chef Budin was very kind and helpfu. Food was delicious and portions were excellent. Great Sunday family Sunday lunch with the dog!

Me and my girlfriend visited the Rectory for the first time on New Year’s Day, when we had a burger and pie. The decor and feel inside the pub was very appealing and a good spot for a light and easy meal. However, the pie was bland and my girlfriend gave up on the burger because it was soggy and flavourless (“it tasted just like a cheap fast food burger”). Given that the burger was around £12 we were very disappointed. I really hope they take this on board because this pub would make a great little local for us if the food quality improved!
