Booked afternoon tea for a 70th Birthday the afternoon tea was amazing and gifted the Birthday girl an amazing cake and glass of presseco on the house. Very impressed with the lovely waitress how was so friendly and really made the day special will differently be back

The bread on most of the sandwiches were stale. The scones we ok until they lost their warmth and then tasted stale. Did not try cakes as was disappointed with the rest but took home for family. Definitely not the best Afternoon Tea and not recommending or going back. Staff were lovely though.

We have used this venue over the years to meet friends for lunch. We booked a table in the restaurant expecting a full lunchtime menu. All that was available was fish and chips, burger, salads or sandwiches. So with little choice we all chose the fish and chips and it was very greasy. There were very few people in the hotel - and I’m not surprised. We will not be going again.

The menu served is nothing like the menu that is on the website. Much smaller. Food we tasty but over priced for what you can get in a restaurant across the road. Many other options in the area. Breakfast was very good if you are staying there.

Really dated restaurant unfortunately. Completely lacking in any atmosphere which is a shame as great location. Staff were friendly enough but the food wasn’t great. Awful steak served grey so had to send it back. Tbf they replaced with a different dish quickly but wasn’t that special for the price.
