   Very expensive for what you get. Great pizza and Burger offered at the bar but not the restaurant makes no sense to me. Open it up and you’ll have more business.

   We live less than 10 minutes from Yountville and have enjoyed dinner at a number of the restaurants along Washington St. The Restaurant at North Block did not disappoint. Being it was our first visit my wife and I each made sure we ordered different. I started with the charred octopus which was charred perfectly and went well with the squash. and my wife had the lobster bisque which while it missed the mark of the bisque she loved from her youth it came very close. For our mains we had the Saffron Risotto and the Cacio E Pepe and loved both of them. Luckily, my wife wasn't too hungry so I got to enjoy a few extra bites. For dessert we had ice cream which was just that ice cream, but it was the perfect finish to a rainy evening. The high ceilings made the room feel big which was a bit of a drawback, however this was offset by the service which was friendly and attentive. We will return.

   Made reservations to celebrate mine and my husband’s wedding anniversary. We came and were automatically greeted by the host, who was very pleasant. The restaurant itself is beautiful, very intimate, perfect for date night or any kind of celebration. The service is top notch. It was a rainy day, and the hostess went out of their way to take our coats and umbrellas. Food was spectacular. You have the choice to order from their regular menu or tasting menu but we decided to order from their regular menu. We started off with the lobster bisque and sourdough bread with butter. Delicious! My husband ordered the risotto with scallops and I ordered the duck. Super delicious. Ended with a budino with dessert, Italian custard. Perfection! Our server was great, he even gave us complimentary wine for our anniversary. But we also ordered 2 different cocktails, which were great. Overall, it was one of the best experiences that we’ve had and we’d for sure go again!

   Gorgeous interior! Friendly attentive wait staff. Food was creative and delicious. The GM made a point of coming over and introducing herself to me as she called me by name as I am a frequent customer.

   Napa restaurant week menu was excellent food .. tasty vignette on salad, nice lobster bisque, fish and meat plus excellent desserts with an authentic tiramisu. Servers tried hard, but not very competent .. kept waiting for 30 minutes as greeter forgot about us; mixed flat and sparkling water (which was a weird taste combination); oversold on suggestions; ... then added a service charge to bill which got subtracted from tip. Menu was quite hard to read in ambient lighting and some quite noisy diners at nearby table Great food, mediocre experience.

   The tasting menu was delicious, but this Napa restaurant week promotion did not satisfy my appetite. I feel there should have been a greater number of dishes to sample. Even though the dishes were meant as samples, I was hoping there were more courses for me to sample than just 3.

   They set us outside and completely forgot about us. We were served water and then no one ever came to our table again. We waited almost half an hour and then just left. Very disappointing.

   From start to finish the tasting menu dazzled. The lobster bisque was very flavorful with a substantial lobster medallion that rounded out the dish. The beef short rib was mouthwatering. Perhaps the addition of broccolini or another vegetable other than the mash potatoes and micro greens would have balanced this dish. It was amazing, just missing something. The caramel budino was out of this world! Be prepared that this tasting menu is just that, ‘tastes’. They are super flavorful and a treat for the senses, however rather small portions. Sadly, we left still peckish. I would still highly recommend this restaurant for a taste of the senses!

    Visited for Restaurant Week and the food was outstanding! We started with the farm salad & lobster bisque (amazing!) But the show stopper was the short rib in Bordelaise sauce - wow! So tender, no fat or oil, just lean meat & the fabulous sauce over mashed potatoes! Had the Tiramisu to finish - all excellent! They have an incredible chef!
