We are a family of four, including two boisterous children. The gentleman who served us absolutely “got the memo” that I needed to discreetly pick the most suitable table to ensure we didn’t disrupt other diners. He was excellent and understanding the boys’ need to be away from other customers and brought us kids menus. The menus seem “slim pickings” but we felt like we had a good selection for our picky kids and us being pescatarian. The cocktail menu was great and we enjoy a few of those. The kids had good sized portions or burger and chicken “nugget” and thick cut chips. We had a selection of veggie sharing plates. All of the food was so incredibly tasty and we felt really full despite the portion sizes looking quite small on arrival. We’d definitely like to return to have more of the menu. We’d just have appreciated a faster service because the kids were getting restless waiting for their puddings. Other than that, this is a very easy place to recommend to others!

A fantastic meal & cocktails. The venue was beautifully decorated for the festive season. My daughter who has never eaten before said it was one of the best restaurants she’s been to all year & she eats out a lot 👌🏻

The dining room was empty when I arrived with my daughter and sister who was on her Christmas visit to Manchester, from Portugal. I did realise that the menu was not very extensive but a bit different. We took advice from the waitress, on the size of the plates.Ordered a few side plates and two mains. The beef, ordered as a main, was very tasty, but cold. We did complain and a new plate was provided.Considering there were no other customers in the restaurant, therefore you would assume not under pressure in the kitchen, this was not a good sign. Overall I would not recommend, based on this my experience.

Great Sunday roast, Perfectly cooked with tasty trimmings. Service was very quick and friendly. Only downside was that the restaurant was quite noisy however it didn’t spoil our dining experience.

A first class meal in gorgeous Victorian surroundings with particular attention paid to members of our party with allergies. Could not rate you higher!

When we walked into the beautiful restaurant there was a DJ playing very loud modern music in the bar area. It was so loud and seemed so out of place. When we sat at our table we could still hear the music booming and people were having to talk loud over the top. The menu choice was very modern and very limited on the main courses. I chose hummus which did not come with any bread. This had to be ordered separately. How can bread not be included with a dip! My husband couldn’t find a main course he liked so ordered a starter and chips. The food was served in very small portions and I felt it was expensive. Although we both enjoyed our meals

Very good food, Sunday roast & cocktails were great. A couple of things to feed back on, our first round of drinks was served quite late, after our starter had arrived; then our main course arrived as we were finishing off our starter, so too soon. Timing was a bit off on both counts.
