    The Retreat never fails to provide a first rate meal and experience. Last night we had a great cauliflower soup, burger, and Nashville chicken. Each dish was excellent. Can't recommend the Retreat any more highly. You will see the difference between a cook and a chef. Not that the food is overly fancy or exotic, it's just perfectly prepared and delicious. Check it out.

    Having dined at The Retreat many times, it never disappoints! My only issue last night was I was jealous of the short rib that my wife had ordered. It was amazing!

    Food was good. Had to ask for refills etc so service was subpar. A bit pricey. Nice ambiance.

    The Retreat is a peaceful gem on Lake Wateree. We came for brunch today. Redneck Benedict was excellent. And my husband said the Lakeside Breakfast was delicious with crispy Applewood bacon. We sat outside with our little dog. Our server kindly brought him water. It was our first outing of that sort with him, and the staff was so welcoming. We will be back without a doubt!

    We love to come to the Retreat when we are staying at our lake house. It is more upscale than the other options on lake Wateree. The food is always good and we enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

    What a gem on the lake!! The food is chef inspired and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and the service is amazing!! Can't wait to go back and enjoy this experience again!!
