   Food absolutely beautiful. There were 5 of us and we all had 3 courses, all delicious. This is way above the standard of your average pub food. As for comfort, we felt it was a little basic and slightly cold whilst waiting to go through to the table. At the table, it was wobbly and it was very quiet in the room we were in. There were 5 of us and we felt quite conscious that we might be noisy, compared to the other two tables of two. With hard floors and little soft furnishings, it felt very echoey. Other than that, the food was divine so will definitely return.

   Five stars all round! Cannot fault our experience at all. Only problem is there isn’t enough parking!

   Lunch time experience, moderate numbers made for a relaxed time in this lovely pub/restaurant, though past experiences of busy times were just as enjoyable. Food outstanding in the literal sense, imaginative dishes, would stand comparison with the best metropolitan, service perfect. We didn't fancy wines this time. We will definitely go again.

   A grand experience from arrival to departure. The chicken and sea bass were exceptional. Have the bread as a starter. Yum! Staff could not have been more attentive or pleasant. Highly recommend.

   Service was excellent staff meeting every need. Food was amazing. Not a huge choice but still excellent. Think bread should be served with starters not charged individually. Overall a lovely meal for a special occassion.

   Just the best country pub. Lucky enough to live nearby and it is always a great experience with delicious food, and fantastic warm service

   We really look forward to and thoroughly enjoy our visits to The Riverside Inn. It is one of our favourite places to eat and so worth the forty minutes drive. The local produce cooked to delicious perfection as always, served by such friendly and knowledgeable staff in the relaxing rural setting. We are looking forward to our next visit already.     This was an excellent meal. We each had the lovely rich beetroot soup for a starter. For mains one of us had the pan fried sea bass fillets which well matched with cauliflower and cobnut. The other enjoyed the beautifully tender and precisely cooked duck breast, which came with roast beetroot and spinach, and an elderberry sauce. Main courses were complemented by carrots and boiled potatoes. We shared a dessert of creme brulee and ice cream. Coffee was served with a delicious fudge. There is a decent selection of wines by the glass. Service was very prompt and attentive.
