    Just average food with average service over priced for what it was. Won’t rush back and it’s only a short walk!!

    Booked a table through the app specifically to try the vegan menu. They said there was no table booked and restaurant was full. Staff were verging on rude and extremely slow. Waited 12 minutes at bar to order our food, when it came starter had sides missing. Food was actually good but it was a really disappointing visit, understaffed and inexperienced staff 😕

    Everything was great. Especially the service. The only thing I would say slightly let the side down was the roast potatoes, they just weren’t very crispy at all! Usually they are fine though.

    We made a booking for the 27th December and turned up and waited by the desk. We waited ten minutes and nobody came so we left and went elsewhere.

    Mains arrived nearly 2h after ordering. Not enough front-of-house staff. All meals were so well done. The fish required a steak knife to cut. Was inedible. The gravy on another couldn’t hide how poor the pork belly was. All in all it was a terrible meal and all tables around us were suffering the same. I should have read reviews here, it turns out this isn’t an isolated incident. We left without ordering dessert and didn’t pay for such poor food.

    We booked a table for 2pm well in advance but didn’t get a table till 2.30pm. Accepting it was busy on a Sunday lunch but I didn’t expect to be kept waiting for such a long period when there were reserved tables empty. The food a long time to arrive but in fairness it was a very good Sunday roast and food value.

    Sadly the quality of the food was let down by the fact that we were seated in such a cold part of the pub. Not entirely their fault (due to faulty gas vent on fire) but they could have closed off this section. Service was a little sluggish, they seemed to be short staffed. Food was really great though.

    Our food took an hour to come. We were given no warning of this ahead of time. One meal was forgotten and took an additional 10 minutes. Food (Sunday lunch) was over cooked and dry.

    Table wasn’t booked upon arrival. Was informed that this happened the previous week so there must be an issue. A lovely member of staff managed to get us a table sorted which was good. We then ordered our food and were informed of 40 minute wait on it. In reality this was an about an hour! On a positive the food was worth the wait.

    Didn’t have reservation listed from this app - suggest ringing to check even after email confirmation - managed to squeeze us in though. Nice food was let down by poor service. Not enough staff working either behind the bar or on the floor. Spent too long waiting to order etc.
