   We have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the food and service . However, was quite disappointed tonight with the food . I ordered a steak medium rare and it was nearly well done . My husband had the brisket which was more shallots than meat and very salty . It was very noisy and prefer to be sat in the front of the pub rather than at back .

   Called in for First time for a while as been too ill, but disability service excellent and food exceptional, good report from another chef. Hope to call again soon

   Thanks to all the staff for looking after me,not easy being coeliac, but confident to know I can enjoy a meal out with friends, and relax nice pint of GF beer we'll done team Royal.

   All the food was fab. Cumberland sausage, Brisket with pearl onion and red wine stew, steak burger, chicken burger were all great as were the sides - all spot on with clean plates. The staff were very welcoming, our 1 and 2 year old loved their pizza and chips and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Thank you for a lovely afternoon ! Plus the cost for the meals including drinks was very reasonable 😊

   Its always great here. I have a serious wheat allergy, the staff are always very understanding and make sure there isn't a problem. The food is always outstanding. One of the only places we will eat locally. Also extremely dog friendly.

    We ordered the calzone which when arrived it had an enormous crust that was pastry alone with no filling whatsoever. Approximately 50% of the meal was wasted due to being only crust. The remainder It was filled with sausage and very little else!
