   This was my first time at this restaurant. Valet parking service was great. Greeting desk ladies seemed stressed and pre-occupied with things. Dining was kind of loud… had to talk loud to communicate with my wife and waitress. Service was good but we felt waitress needs to check on drinks etc more frequently than what we experienced. Food was really good.

   We set an appointment for 8 and they sat us at a table for 7. When trying to get them to make it right they were not accommodating and quite rude to say the least. Our service was not good, half our food was forgotten about, and we went way too long not seeing our waiter. The food was decent at least. This was for a birthday and having half our group not sitting with us was ridiculous. We all agreed we would never go back to this location based upon our experience.

   To start with the positive, the food was excellent including the shells & cheese side which we had as an appetizer, the brisket tamale, crab cakes, wild boar chili and the hot chicken and cheese sandwich. It was also a cool vibe with live music that felt more complimentary than distracting. Unfortunately, the server we had seemed like she really didn’t want to be there at all. For reference, the reservation was Saturday at 7pm for 3 people, two parents and our 18yo. She was just very dismissive and almost non-responsive to us. We don’t expect everyone to be bubbly but for these prices, we do expect some sort of pleasant attitude. I ordered a second drink halfway into my meal and didn’t get it until I was completely done and no one bothered to refill my water which had been empty for a while as well. There was a couple next to us that appeared to be bothered with the same issues and they asked to be moved to a different section. We know we weren’t imagining it either when another staff member came by after our meal and said she would be taking over for the other server who went home. Maybe she was having a bad day but I would hope that the restaurant would be able to pick up on that and not let her serve people if she’s having that bad of a day. On another note, it’s just really bad form to not have prices on your cocktail menu. Tons of cocktails on the menu and not one had a price. We just played a guessing game at our table until we got the bill for our $18 frozen margaritas which were just regular sized, not large in any way. The wines had prices which were very limited, not great choices and extremely marked up. $40 for Apothic red blend that costs $10 retail?! Manager, please put prices on everything on the menu. Don’t make us ask you, it’s weird. I realize these are all first world problems but that doesn’t mean we’re wrong about them either. Like I said, we loved our food but I’m not sure we’re going to go out of our way to come back to this place.
