Fantastic food served by passionate, attentive staff. Loved our counter dining experience where we got to see the fresh seafood being prepared, cooked and assembled to serve. The starter portions were really generous. I particularly liked the mullet with girolles. Beautiful crisp skin and plump fleshy fish underneath. Delicious! We also loved our fresh lobster and chips. Beautifully cooked with just the right amount of butter that left a lovely lobster beurre soakage on the chips! Shoutout too, for the chard side which was the perfect accompaniment to the richness (reminiscent of my favourite Greek Horta!) I can also highly recommend the small Bloody Mary, perfectly sized for a swig with oysters. The staff are really attentive and friendly to customers and also friendly to each other. They all seem to really enjoy their work which adds to the welcoming, happy atmosphere.

Fish & chips is the only dish I would order here. Rest is overpriced/ inside seating is uncomfortable and service was added and then when we paid in cash didn’t get the correct change. Second time we’ve been here and something similar happened. Scallops were minimal with dreadful undercooked rice/risotto as the waiter described and which was tasteless. There was a time when this restaurant was worth recommending/ not anymore.

Loved everything about my meal. The fish soup, the red mullet, the crab linguine, the wine selections per glass were excellent.

Delicious fresh fish. Quaint restaurant with an interesting menu. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the fish crudo and scallops with saffron rice. First course was served pretty quickly but we waited 45 minutes for our entree. Too long!

The oysters were incredible delicious!! We tried 3 different kinds and after that we had a wonderful lobster. Chef, manager and the on who prepare the oyster were absolutely nice, we were talking to them part of the time. The restaurant is so cute. It was an amazing experience. If we ever come back to Dublin we will definitely come back here. 100% recommend

We had a really lovely time at The Seafood Cafe. We loved the decor and the open kitchen view of the Chefs preparing food. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed the cocktails. We would 100% visit again.

These were the best scallops I’ve ever had. Tasted like they were caught that afternoon. Everything was top rate. Wish I had come back the next night instead of going to a popular and historic fish and chips place!
