The Seahorse is a neighborhood restaurant known for it's food, beer & wine, located inside Pearl St. General in the Pearl District of Laguna Beach, CA. We celebrate diversity and inclusion as locals and visitors alike can sit at the original centerpiece of the 1940’s bar, with a rotating selection of craft and micro brew beer, wines by the glass & bottle, and creative food.

Executive Chef Leo:

With over 19 years in the culinary industry Chef Leo has worked for some of the most elite clientele in the world. Personal chef for George Marciano the owner of Guess and private parties with celebs such as Arnold Schwarzeneger, Pink, Ringo Starr and Mark Burnett. Skills include different styles of cooking, including farm to table, vegan knowledge, international cuisine, wine and food pairing, staff and station management, menu/recipe creation, vendor relationships, utilization of product, food cost reduction, and minimizing food waste.

Looks like one of our local watering holes in going through a period of adjustment. Menu changes, out of many wines and a poorly cooked meal. Service was great, from all staff members.

We'll be back for sure. You will need to be patient with the awesome staff while the food is made, but they will keep the wine flowing and they are super cool folks. It's a kick back fun place to be social with friends. The food is awesome and the value incredible.

Waitress left us sitting for 30 minutes, no water offered, no orders taken. Left to go to a nearby restaurant that has food AND Service.

Love the tuna dish it was so delicious. Chef Leo is awesome...he really goes above and beyond to take care of his customers, highly recommend.

The Seahorse Lounge is a great spot for drinks (beer and wine only) with a great vibe in a hip spot in the rear of Pearl Street General Store. Unfortunately, our first dining experience was just ok. Our pizza which was made with a pre-bought crust and loaded with our toppings was mediocre. Our fresh salad was tasty with a great dressing and loaded with candied nuts and cheese. The salmon special was a little overcooked and the coconut rice was a little overcooked. Given there was a private event going on simultaneously the noise level was high enough that talking across our table became challenging. We really enjoyed the hired magician walking around doing tableside magic.

Looking for a chill kickback spot in Laguna? This is your go to place! Love the chic decor that doesn't really make sense, but it works. The staff are super attentive and the Chef is amazing. Usually packed with a lot of locals, so really great spot to get to know Laguna Beach. The food is pretty typical for a bistro but it's delicious! I would highly recommend this place for afternoon drinks and a quick bite to eat.
