   First visit here and the service from front of house staff was great, very attentive and took our order promptly. Unfortunately it took 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food to arrive, the waiter kept coming over to apologise and kept us up to date, but wouldn’t expect to wait that long. Four other tables that came in after us all got served before us and even though we were offered two free drinks to apologise for the wait which was much appreciated, I think feedback needs to be given to the kitchen staff. Food was lovely once it arrived, however I’m not sure I’d come if I was ever in a hurry!

   Great little spot with great food and drinks. It's just a shame that it takes a little while for the food to come out. We had long finished our drinks before we received our food. The small plates are very good value for money.

   Not as good as previous visits, but has apparently been recently taken over. Very disorganised, no drinks menus available, no knowledge of what was available. Drink spilled when delivering, but no offer to clean it up. Service very slow. The food however was good. Tonic water appeared in a glass, rather than in a bottle with a glass, which I found strange. The gentleman who I presume was the cook was somewhat dishevelled, with dirty clothes - a bit off-putting. Would I return? Possibly, but I think I’ll give them time to ‘settle in’. This place used to be superb, so I’m hoping it will return to that level.

   Amazing food in a really cute restaurant. Service was unobtrusive but efficient. Would highly recommend

   Wow absolutely gorgeous food! All three of us ordered the flatbreads, two halloumi & falafel and one chicken! We were all equally impressed. Came piping hot on piping hot plates and tasted delicious! My third and best visit yet. First visit for my mum and sister and they loved it. Finished off with two sticky toffee puds which were to die for!! Lovely service too, thank you!

   Stumbled on this place waiting for the next train, booked a table and came back. The food is outstanding, friendly and helpful staff and a very good environment. Highly recommended.

   We had a lovely visit with our children. Really good food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. It is so cute and chilled here and we were not let down by the food either. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and it really did make for a lovely meal. Will definitely be back x

   I booked a table for my bestie and I to have lunch in celebration of her birthday! What we received was over and above what we expected; glass of champers on arrival, excellent food, outstanding service and a lovely atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed the Shrub experience and will certainly be back for more in the not too distant future. Thank you so much to our host and her Chef hubby
