Located on the 36th floor of the Ala Moana Hotel, The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood restaurant is the new home to a space known historically for memorable evenings with Oahu's most epic views.

Upon entering from the elevator on Ala Moana Hotel's top floor, each new diner will be enthralled by crystal chandeliers and live music played on The Signature's white grand piano. When it comes to choosing a table, the opportunities are endless: The intimate bar, piano lounge, vintage-style ocean view booths, an exclusive experience in our wine cellar, or any of our luxurious mountain room or ocean room tables.

    We have dined here a few times and we really enjoy coming here as the food is great. But, last night we had a server we have never had before and from the start the service she gave felt very fake, and made a few weird comments that made us feel a kind of way. All other times we have been here, the server normally would ask if we needed help with the menu, make some recommendations, and tell us the specials for the night. Our server last night did not, just greeted and introduced herself as Kalei, and asked for our drink order. When we put our food order in, she took our dessert/drink menus and said, “I will return this later but you’re gonna need as much room on this table as possible.” Okay… weird thing to say. She brought our food in a timely matter, checked on us once or twice. About 30 minutes in, we could tell the service she was giving us wasn’t very good especially listening to the service she was giving other people, which didn’t make sense because we were kind to her the whole night. When it was time for dessert said, “How was all the food? Do you need to see the dessert menu??” Which made us feel bad for even asking for it. Once our dessert was brought to us she just dropped the check and said “whenever you’re ready.” We put our card in, waited for about 15 minutes after dessert was done, then when she dropped the final charge receipt, we said thank you and she responded with “mhmm” without even looking at us, like she was brushing us off. On top of this, we also came to celebrate a big promotion, and normally we get asked if we’re there to celebrate anything, but she did not ask us at all, but made sure to ask the table behind us. This last visit made the night less enjoyable, but I love Signature and the food and will continue to come, but request not to get this server again, her name was Kalei.

    Outstanding service. Absolutely delicious entrees. Great drinks. Best lobster bisque I ever had. Super desserts! View was breathtaking. Everything about our dinner experience was amazing.

    Our party of four had an amazing experience. The hospitality was impeccable and our host Johnny was spectacular. The food was excellent the restaurant including the restrooms were clean. The piano playing set the right mood and the view of down town Waikiki was breathtaking. Will definitely be returning.

    We chose The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood for our wedding day dinner — our first meal as a married couple — and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect. We’d booked well in advance and mentioned the occasion, and were absolutely blown away when we were given what was arguably the best table in the house. The views from the 36th floor were stunning — panoramic sights of the city and coastline that made the evening feel extra special. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely celebrated. We were warmly welcomed, asked if we were celebrating something, and treated to a complimentary side and dessert as a thoughtful wedding day gesture. It set the tone for what would be an incredible meal. The Merlot we chose was easily one of the best we’ve ever had — rich, smooth, and perfect with the meal. The steak was exceptional: cooked to perfection with beautiful flavour and texture. The sides were just as impressive, clearly prepared with care and precision. To top it all off, the atmosphere was elegant and relaxed, with a live pianist adding a lovely touch. In between sets, the music was tasteful and unobtrusive, keeping the vibe just right throughout. This was hands down the best dining experience I’ve ever had — unforgettable in every way. Highly recommend The Signature for any special occasion (or if you simply want to feel like it is one).

    Our only complaint….we had a gift card that was more than the tab and you wouldn’t let us apply the balance to the top. Since we’re from the mainland-that’s money lost.
